Did Calderon really beat up on De La Hoya in sparring on top of Valero owning him

ivan was used for the floyd fight to help with the elsuiveness of floyd. valero and ortiz was used for the manny fight. oscar was getting beat by all 3. oscar couldnt touch ivan and valero busted oscar up. even his strength coach talked about it. and valero was being brought up to either face manny next year or to be his sucessor. valero only signed with top rank wth a promise to fght manny.

Calderon sparred with Oscar for the Mayweather fight. For the Pac fight, it was either Valero or Ortiz, or both of them who roughed up De La Hoya depending on who you ask.

I know that's what Roach said when the DLH/Manny fight came about, because when DLH was training for Floyd they wanted a slick boxer smaller in stature and Ivan fit the bill. The end result was DLH getting his ears boxed off according to Roach and his people... There was all this BS from Roach in the lead up to the Manny fight. All BS though. Roach was vengeful by that time of Oscar.

People love to exaggerate. All that was said about the DLH-Calderon sparring is that Oscar couldn't hit him. Calderon was too quick and he couldn't be caught. Nobody got beat up.

Victor Ortiz beat on Oscar for a bit before leaving camp early for unknown reasons. Valero then took his turn raping ODLH for about 8 rounds before being thrown out by the head trainer. According to Oscar's strength and conditioning coach, Valero destroyed him as bad as Pacquiao did in the actual fight. The only difference was the headgear and big sparring gloves.

This story comes from Roach and it allegedly happened while he was training Oscar to fight Floyd. Calderon probably made him look slow but I doubt that he really beat him up. Roach was using this story to hype up Oscar-Pac.

Calderon is known to knock out everybody in sparring.

The one about Valero is definitely true, interesting one about Calderon though.

Yea calderon schooling was prior to the PBF fight. Valero is just an animal even in sparring.

Hey, this happend in 07 when Mosley came to PR to sparred with DLH and Calderon schooled both. Theres even a article in NSB where they ask Calderon about it.
