Pavlik by late stoppage , williams will win the first 4-5 rounds pavlik will put the pressure on around 8-9 the punisher's corner will throw in the towel to save hime from a brutal k.o
Williams chin EXPOSED!!!!
I have feeling Pavlik would win this.
Williams is not elusive enough and doesn't have the movement of Martinez or even an old Hopkins. He's not exactly a moving target.
Pavlik also uses his size, height and reach a lot more effectively than Williams.
Pavlik by late stoppage.
I'm a Pavlik fan, I like how he keeps it on planet earth.
Two years ago I would have picked Pavlik. But Pavlik these days is not fighting at that high of level, maybe Williams would beat him.
I don't think PDub's "spay and pray" style would serve him very well against Pavlik. Against agressive, high work rate, fighters Kelly has always shown a willingness to stand and deliver. Styles make fights, and when you put these two styles together, the bigger, stronger, harder punching man wins. KP by KO in 5 of the most exciting rounds since Haglar/Hearns.
As a side note, I'm not sure what the record is, but these two would probably set a new record for most punches per round in a middleweight fight.
The Punisher is gonna clearly beat Martinez this time around!!If Pavlik gets a shot at the Punisher,he will be schooled again!!The Punisher knows that he can't stand & trade with Pavlik,no one can,but the Punisher will move & simply beat him off of that!!
sorry bro but the punisher doesnt move his legs much and he never circles.....

Irrelevant fight between 2 irrelevant fighters. The outcome of this bout changes nothing.
the winner after this fight...after williams loses to martinez again would arguably be the number 1 contender at 160
panda's got pavlik by midround KO
williams has no defense and is open for straight punches...unless williams learns how to use lateral movement hes not going to make it to the 12th

Funny that "irrelevant" Williams vs. Martínez is one of the most anticipated fights of the year.
I've got Pavlik by KO around 9-10th round.
Why?
Because he has showed he can adjust in the middle/later rounds of a fight to be more effective. It doesn't take that much to put Williams on the floor. Plus Williams height/reach advantage would be minimal.
Not a Pavlik fan but I think he can win this one.
