I'm a huge fan of mexican boxing but don't know many mexican boxing fans personally....what is the general feeling towards Margarito and his fight against Pacman? Do they stand behind such a controversial man simply because he is mexican? Values such as pride and honour play a big part in mexican boxing....so there must be some differences in perspective? They might not stand behind Manny as supports but there also has to be respect for such an offensive brawler by the mexican community. Anyone have more insight on this?
I have no problem with Mexico other than it's completely opressive goverment that keeps what are essentially good people down in the dumps. I just hate when Mexicans show such hostility to people like me like it's an insult that my Grandparents and my father came here to the US for better oppertunities. You are right we have diffrent customs but people in Juarez have diffrent customs than people in Sinaloa so what diffrence does it make we are essentially the same people just born in diffrent places.
The government is a piece of sh*t, there are actions a lot of us try to make in order to make the country a better place and I have been doing just that ever since I first got my Credencial de Elector (ID).
However who are you to judge on the level of intelligence based on the sole fact that my family didn't migrate to the U.S. F*ck you man. People like you are the ones that make the people here in Mexico dislike some pochos because of their false sense of superiority.
Oh I understand but the point I was trying to make was that where you are born has no significance in who you are as a person. I may be and American of Mexican ancestry but I come from the same origins from just about any Mexican man born in Northern Chihuahua. Mexicans just like to point this out to "Pochos" because it make them feel better about being stuck in Mexico.
Oh well then we don't disagree at all. I get it.
Hold the f*ck on. You are calling me and my family dumb for living in Mexico instead of being "smart" like some of my uncles for moving to the U.S you are completely retarded and out of line. I don't need to move, I'm fine in Mexico.
F*ck you. Mexican is a nacionality, when your birth certificate says Mexican YOU are Mexican. It has nothing to do with blood line. We have different customs.
There are other dudes born in the U.S of Mexican decent that show more respect than you, those people I have no problem with.

I really don't care anymore. The Mexican community believe it or not, is very fond of Pacquia. Many people like him even if he has beaten our boxers many times. In my opinion, I have to continue believing in his career now that he was given another chance of redemption. Once I see a big difference in his power, not in the chin beacause that has nothing to do with loaded gloves, then I will discredit everything he accoplished.
I feel you on this one, not that I've discredited everything that Tony has done, but I believe for many people this is his chance to get back some credibility as a fighter. Even if he loses, the way he looks in the fight will tell a lot, cos like Roach said....the last 2 were not impressive to say the least.
Thanx for the feedback btw. guys! Viva La Mexico!:sombrero:
I dont get where all this Mexicans love Pac biz.........real talk.....I respect the kat for his abilities.....he is no joke in the ring......but the only time ill be rooting for Pac is when (if) he fights May.......that's it........that hole Mexecutioner **** aint jivin' with me......and the fact that we wouldn't fight JMM to settle it once in for all is hella shady.....
Well to be fair to Pac he never embraced that whole mexicutioner name.
And, it was JMM why the 2nd fight didn't happen sooner. And, if JMM wouldn't have asked for 50/50 he probably would of fought pac a 3rd time in March.
How does being born in Mexico make you a pure Mexican when both of you basically have the exact same bloodline?
I mean how does being born in a diffrent country change your genetic make up? I think thats something you Mexicans say about us pochos because your family wasn't smart enough to move to a better place and decided to live in **** forever and ever.

I am not a fan of Margarito as I feel he lacks the most important attribute in a prize fighter - the ability to entertain a crowd.
What? If thats the case you must find Corey Spinks and John Ruiz exciting.
Depends if you think nationality is about "genetic makeup"" or if you think nationality is about "shared culture".
There are nations with vastly different genetic makeup, but always share a vast core culture.
I won't call an American an English, or an Irish, because he shares their genetic makeup. If he watches baseball, drives a chevy, eats Apple Pie and roots for Leonard, he's American.

I guess it's good that he comes forward so when he fights a guy like Mosley or Pacquiao we will get to see some big shots landed on his horse face and that's entertaining, but aside from that, no I am not a fan and while I am not sold that he did cheat his entire career, there is definitely the suspicion.
I don't care what race a fighter is, I just want to be entertained. Most of my favorite fighters are Black.

I am 0% mexican and i can tell you my mexican compadres dont like Margarito. They think he is a scumbag , not worthy of living. They rather sit down with a bottle of clamato , listening to REBELDE and watch back to back how Oscar dismantled chavez (both fights)

I was just messing with Libido.
I'm not even Mexican. :lol1:
Me: like 100% pure Mexican like JMM
You: 50% fake Mexican like Juan Diaz

Es verdad guey. You are hardcore Mexican... just like Chewbacca aka "Chuey" from Star Wars.
This is true, almost every Mexican loves Pacquaio, he's humble, exciting, never say die and even sings the Mexican Anthem and makes visits to the country.
Only Xcaret hates him because he's not really a Mexican.
Could'nt agree more.
I'd answer the question but I'm not in the mood today to hear sh*t from hardcore Mexicans who think I'm not Mexican because I was born and raised in the USA.
Well if you want to get technical... nah just playing you are Mexican:sombrero:

why not. Manny specializes in beating non americans, especially mexicans. The only 2 americans he fought, ODH and Diaz, are both mexican americans right? Seems like a fair name mexicutioner.
