I had 9 or so fights when i was 13 i had 6 wins 3 losses then i gave it away for 12 yrs!!!
I only just got back into the ring last month but i loss have another one in october cant wait to get a few more under the belt then if all goes well ill hopefully turn pro!!!
I'm an active amature boxer in the Light Heavyweight division in Denmark. I've got about 35 fights, but currently I've got a biceps tendonitis, which is killing me. Been fighting with this **** for like 6 months now....
those smoker fights seem like such a *****. They're like...1 minute rounds right???
I remember I watched a buddy of mine compete in a kickboxing tournament a couple of months ago where they had 1min rounds. It felt like it was totally rigged to suit taller lankier fighters with longer reach because they would flurry for 30seconds taking advantage of their longer reach and literally run for the other half of the round and potshot as the smaller fighter gets desperate to make up the points battle they lost in the 1st half of the round.
oh ok,yeah 1min rounds are way too short.
the ones i did were 2 or 3min rounds for 3 rounds.I really hate the 2min rounds because it forces us to not be patience and just go all out.And for me my style is very calm and relaxed and i like to take my time and not be rushed. But i'm a natural counter puncher, but i also need time to adjust and work.
When i did that amateur boxing match in the Philippines it was 2min rounds and my trainer said just keep punching because no time to work so don't stop punching.I won but i didn't look to great, because i'm not use to being aggressive.
Forgot to say my weight. For the boxing match i did it at 135lb for the kickboxing i did it at 130lbs-140lbs.

Nothing any more, but I was a decent amateur that considered taking it further but music chose me instead.
Was a bantamweight back in the day. Dad was an Australian amateur champ too at FW (125).
