Kotelnik got robbed. Harold Lederman is a ****ing disgrace. So what if Alexander was busier? HE WASN'T LANDING! He was hitting gloves and thin air while Kotelnik was picking him off and timing him with classy punches and combinations.
Seriously, if Lederman thinks that's how you win a boxing match he needs to lose his job immediately.
Dan Rafael hates Floyd Jr. so much I don't believe what he says about him. But KOTELNIK WAS TOTALLY ROBBED. UNBELIEVEABLE. HOW MUCH DID DON KING PAY THE JUDGES, INCLUDING LEDERMAN?
i had alexander winning by a round maybe two, it was a close fight, what i think that kept kotelnik from winning the impression of the judges is that he let alexander dictate the pace, he let alexander lead the fight, if they were dance partners alexander was leading and kotelnik was following.
bottom line, i think alexander needs to rematch kotelnik because it's not a clear cut victory, i think both guys have a lot more to show of themselves against one another, and i think they match up well, kotelnik's timing was top quality and really a monkey wrench in alexanders fight game.
alexander has to make it clear that he didn't get a hometown gift.
if kotelnik had power and was able to hurt alexander he would've won the judges over. he was definitely in alexanders kitchen the whole fight.........
rematch, alexander has to prove he's better than kotelnik and kotelnik deserves another shot because he didnt' get the proper respect for his efforts.
I thought Urango was winning rounds and looking good against Devon, but that stoppage was not premature. Urango was gone.
Yeah when you get knocked down again that soon and stay on your back as long as he did both times, you're done. Though I will say if he'd held a bit after the first, he might've cleared his head enough to avoid the second.
Kinda funny that you have 77% of this site thinking Kotelnik won, yet some people saw it 10 rounds to 2 Alexander.
speechless...alexander really dropped the ball, didnt show the class a young champion with his status should fight with. i have a feeling he bought in to his hype and maybe didnt train as hard as he should have...a champ should come ready always...he really needs to think this over and get his head back in the game, this is not the alexander that won the belt nor the one who beat urango. this was an alexander who felt he was unbeatable and took his opponent lightly. kotelnik won a close fight, but if devon was as good as most of us think he is...the fight should not have been close.
im surprised no one has mentioned khan...he outclassed kotelnik from bell to bell, im aware styles make fights but that fight wasnt even close. he made kotelnik look like a nobody, and based on last nights performance i feel he might just back up all the shit talk hes been spittin reacently. things are gonna get real interesting in the months to come.
This is the Alexander that beat Urango its just against a different opponent. That fight wasnt the one sided domination that it was made out to be it was an even fight with Urango landing solid punches throughout and then Alexander landed a beautiful uppercut and then the fight was stopped early Urango didnt get ktfo as it has been stated here many times. tune into the 2nd minute of this video and then tell me that Urango couldnt have continued
Apparently body shots don't count in this site, tight fight but Devon did enough to win. A draw would had been better cause Kotelnik kept pressing the fight.

Kendall Holt didn't think twice, he got outboxed the entire fight and still almost k.o'd Bradley at the end.
Bradley is solid all the way around, but he's not fought anyone THAT good yet.
Lamont Peterson is his best win imo.
Kendall Holt is a POWERFUL and SNEAKY fukker..but he wasn't "almost KO'd" in the 12th..he got hit with a sneaky uppercut that caught bradley off guard..could happen to anyone..
Think about all the fighters left..
Khan, if Bradley touches that chin he won't get KO'd but he'll definitely think twice
Alexander, WIDE OPEN defense..his blocks shots with his chin, and Bradley is a hell of a lot more mobile than Kotelnik, so he'll get tagged and moved on all night..
Maidana and Ortiz are the only 2 who I see coming foward after getting tagged still..but lets be honest..they'd both get outboxed by Bradley very comfortably..
Bradley's got Cherry, Witter, Campbell (fukk that NC he whomped that ass!), and undefeated Peterson and Abregu...
Who's matching him in the 140lb weightclass??
Alexander: Witter, Urango and Kotelnik
Khan: Salita, Malignaggi and Kotelnik oh yea and Barrera (LOL!)
Ortiz: Maussa, Arnaoutis, Diaz, and Campbell
Maidana: Ortiz, and Cayo
Now you tell me who's the more accomplished LWW..
This was a close fight. People saying Kotelnik won easily are just as dumb as those saying the opposite.
based on clean effective punching and defense, i can't see alexander got more than a few rounds. alexander got hit with the same punches over and over. his head snapping back all night. kotelnik didn't even look like he'd been in a fight.
don king had lederman and the rest of the judges paid off...why is that hard to believe?
with don king promoting alexander, and the fight taking place in the lou, there was no way alexander was losing
I think thats a serious possibility. The Abregu fight really turned me off.
Maybe it was the weight.
I was hardcore pro Bradley till he almost put me to sleep and showed no improvement in the Abregu fight.
Maybe he needs to stay at 140, but I think Bradley's hit his ceiling and his lack of punching power is gonna start to become a liability against the more durable guys.
How so?!..
He's got incredible stamina..and can stick and move ALL night if he needs to..fighters don't need KO power to be great..and Bradley packs a solid punch that has kept most of his opponents honest..and makes them think twice before getting reckless...
I just watched the fight now. It was strange as Alexander threw over a thousand punches, but not many clean ones at all. Many punches landed, but many missed also.
Kotelnik just landed the better quality punches in the fight. I had Kotelnik winning 7-5 in rounds and I thought I was being generous to Alexander.
I still think Alexander k.o's Bradley. I'm not sure Bradley would've done much better last night.
Kotelnik is far craftier than I gave him credit for.
Still refuse to see the truth huh? We'll see on fight night I guess just who the real man is in the ring. Bradley is going to push Alexander around the ring all night long and with Alexander's lack of defense, he is gonna be eating tons of shots.
