All the fans of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquaio who have been waiting for Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight, are in for a disappointment. The proposed face-off between the two fighters is unlikely to take place. Though HBO and public pressure was hoped to make Mayweather to sign the contract, it is unexpected that the fighter will change his tune.
Some experts believe that fear of being knocked out by Pacquiao is the reason behind Mayweather’s unwillingness to sign on the dotted line for the much awaited Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight.
Experts say the reason behind this conclusion is Paul Williams’s promoter Dan Goossen’s attempts to arrange for a Williams vs. Pacquiao fight, if Mayweather vs Pacquiao fails to take place. According to experts, Goossen has inside information that Mayweather won’t sign the contract as he and Al Haymon, who advises Mayweather and Williams, have been associates for years.
Experts believe that the strategy employed by Goossen and Haymon is to put pressure on Pacquiao to fight Paul Williams next so as to avoid or deflect any criticism pointed at Mayweather for his alleged dodging of Pacquiao.
Though laymen would be unable to unmask the shrewd tactics, which will save Mayweather from any charges, experts or game loyalists will be able to question the logic of Williams vs. Pacquiao fight or Goossen reluctance to attempt for a Williams-Mayweather, when it is widely believed a fight against Mayweather is the ultimate. Moreover, experts say Goossen is possibly acting on orders from Haymon and Team Mayweather, to cover up the mess of shirking or ducking the biggest fight in boxing history.

simple truth right here!......and after pac's destruction of cotto, that fear grew more!
You are sorely mistaken. Floyd is not afraid of fighting Pacquiao. I suspect he *IS* afraid of losing. Big difference. If Floyd had already lost to someone, anyone by this point, I know Floyd would have no problem fighting Pacquiao.
Mosley has nothing to hide cause he`s clean that`s why he took the test,On the other hand alot of people know Pac is dirty cause he refused a random test.
Yeah, a known roid user was allowed to get an 18 day cut-off. Flomos are not complaining. What a stupid joke!
Can't wait to see Floyd vs Whoever give blood samples on the day of the fight. 18 day cut-off will be unacceptable next time. No way he could get away with it! The US media will give him hell!
From the very begining,it was obvious!!Why in the world does anyone think he asked for extra testing & so forth??He did it because he couldn't believe how Manny drapped up all the fighters that gave him hell, that's why!!:dunno:
Everyone knows that from day one of the first negotiations the Mayweather camp had been playing hard to get. Last year Arum went to Manila to tell Pacquiao that Floyd with GBP backing was interested in a March fight. Arum was simply too naive at the time to realize that it was a ploy hatched by the Mayweather camp to test the waters because they knew that Pac can't possibly say yes the fact that he had just been in a "difficult fight" with Cotto a couple of weeks earlier -- a fight that resulted in a broken eardrum, which will take about a year to heal, according to Roach. In addition, they knew that Pac was thick into Philippine politics. But Pacquiao said "yes". Which most likely surprised Team Mayweather. Later, Arum scouted for a venue, arranged an appointment with Jerry Jones, only to be rejected by FM camp at the last minute. Long story short, it became abundantly clear now that Floyd was really not that interested.
"I wish I could see Mayweather and Pacquiao fight, but what they're doing right now is hurting boxing because people want to see the fight and there's a lot of money involved in the fight. They're trying to bring up stuff that is taking away from the fight with drug tests and accusations. When you get into personal insults like that, it puts a damper on the fight. I don't get it. They're both going to make at least $25 million. I would worry about it after the fight. If I'm making $25 million and he's taking dog food to make him stronger, so what? Let's go ahead and do it and talk about it later after we get our money. First, get the money. These guys don't get that." -- Larry Holmes
I am not so sure if he's afraid of loosing his 0. I think that the analysts and experts are kind of trying to push Floyd into fighting these guys because he is the big draw and they want to see him fight.
If he wins, my assumption is that they will hype another boxer and then it will all happen again. I think its kind of their job to "force" these guys to fight. I also think they are right in doing so. However, if a boxer wants to fight on his own time and at his own will then we shouldn't criticize him for it. I personally think that Floyd has nothing more to prove even though I'd like to see him fight as many guys as possible. But he doesn't owe that to me or anyone else. He has earned that right by hard work and dedication.
you dont ask for extra drug tests unless your shittin yourself, fact
and most that have, got they ass whooped, cuz they know they could never beat that person
Any but the blind could see this coming a mile away. Floyds own daddy said he didnt like Floyd fighting southpaws, and Paq is a dynamic one, knockout power in both hands. I am a Paq fan, but even so I would pick Floyd as about a 3 to 2 favorite in a betting situation. Apparently those odds are not good enough for Floyd. Yes, he fought Mosley, and I give him credit for putting an asswhooping on Mosley, but the only reason he fought Mosley is because Mosleys a huge earthquake hit Haiti and Berto did the right thing and put his family first. If it wasnt for that Floyd was going to fight either Matthew Hatton or Nate Campbell, there is no way to argue the point that he only fought Mosley because he had no way out without losing face. Now he is going to lose that face anyway, what a bitch!!!
I don't believe Pac can beat Floyd but Floyd seems to think so...I was planning to put down a months pay on Floyd if this fight happened but iam not so sure anymore. Im gonna put my money on Abraham beating Froch instead.
Floyd is a very talented fighter, maybe even a great fighter, but his style is risk-averse in the ring and risk-averse out of it. So I do not think that he will take the fight, or certainly not under terms that leave (in his mind) much risk or Pac beating him. It is a shame, as I think that he could be considered a great fighter if he were to take a few more chances.
From the very begining,it was obvious!!Why in the world does anyone think he asked for extra testing & so forth??He did it because he couldn't believe how Manny drapped up all the fighters that gave him hell, that's why!!:dunno:
