I don't see how Roach and Khan can demand anything.
They still have some unfinished buisness with Prescott. Khan should not be talking about fighting anyone else except the guy who destroyed him in 30 seconds.
It's a step backwards. If he fights a banger (say Madiana) in his next few fights, all is good.
exactly fight a name...and as long as he wins he puts himself in a position to fight maidana the fight after
he looked like a beast at 140 with his power punches. sure his opponent was some guy i have never heard of but when a guy hits hard you can just tell. khan has yet to defeat a big one punch ko artist since the loss so this fight still makes sense and will go along way to proving if khan really has the potential to be elite.
no...on one hand you say you never heard of the guy he was fighting, and then your saying prescott looked like a beast, thats is your problem right there. I could look like a beast if you put me in with someone that is levels below me, even if I am out-weighed. Prescott has been exposed at european level, and on espn friday night fights which is never a good sign. Khan would be much better off fighting someone that is world class.

Because khan got knocked out by the guy. Doesn't he want revenge?
Again revert back to my first post...you'l find your answer to that question. Guys get beat by fighters and then they beat better fighters, it has been the way for years, it use to happen a lot more 60's-80's because guys had to fight stiff competition earlier in their career because of the lack of belts and weight divisions. It was normal then for fighters to pick up a loss early against someone and then go on to achieve great things.
The prescott fight is not comparible to lennox lewis, because he lost his world title(s) in those fights so a rematch was obviously justified. with prescott-khan it was 2 undefeated unproven fighters on a much smaller scale. Problem is since that fight prescott has done nothing to warrant a world title shot, and has been exposed on both sides of the pond. There is at least 4 or 5 other fights I would rather see khan in that would be beneficial to his career also, the argument about fighting a puncher will be answered when he fights maidana and alexander. Katsidis is a guy that is proven at world level can punch hard and actually has some ability, he is much more dangerous then prescott and would be a better fight if khan isn't gonna fight a natural 140lber.
Prescott fought at 140lb's, he was on the under cards for the Khan-Paulie fight, he won be K.O, 3rd round.

You ever heard of careers going in opposite directions? Obviously not
I would like to see him fight prescott again though,i think he would handle him pretty easy second time round and it would do a lot for him mentally too
That's different. Khan isnt at the real ELITE level yet
A rematch with Prescott would put him on the road to becoming a real legit champion. Theres still this talk about his chin and if he knocked out Prescott in the rematch then beat Maidana. Then he would be rated much, much higher than he is now. I think he is capable of winning both fights so him and his team need to do their best to make it happen.
A question, how does getting revenge get you on the path of being one of the elite? Does it make the process faster smoother or what? since in Pacs case it was much the opposite. Quite frankly his chin can be tested by Maidana who is a much more worthy opponant
Yes, and not worth the risk for khan. He would outbox prescott but there will allways be that KO over his head. If Prescott was in a better possition in terms of rank or had a belt then rematch would be there other wise its pointless for him.
What better position is there than having a brutal ko win over Khan?
While we're at it should Pacquiao rematch Torrecamp or Singsurat?

Because it is a stupid fight in every sense. If khan beats him what has he proved? That he can beat a guy that has already been beaten by 2 relatively ordinary fighters. The blueprint for prescott has been executed, kevin mitchell whipped him in front of a big british audience, who is a natural superfeather by the way. Khan got caught cold against a fighter who they underestimated and quite frankly...didn't do any homework on.
It is a nonsense fight until prescott beats a few names at 140, revenge in boxing is just some petty macho bs to be honest unless that fighter is still in the way of you getting where you wanna be and that is not the case in this scenario. Khan's immediate goal is to unify and improve, prescott does neither for him, if he is gonna have a keep busy fight he should fight someone ranked (top 10) or at least a world rated lightweight like katsidis, those will be learning fights for khan like malignaggi was, whilst being much more credible opponents then prescott.

Only hardcore fight fans want to see this. That loss has been blown under the rug by a lot of people. GBP are looking for marketable opponents for Khan. Right now, Prescott is not one.
It's a step back wards that's why.

Because he's now fighting in a different weight class and has a world title.
Prescott in the meantime, has lost twice and taken himself out of anywhere near to title contention even in his own weight class.
Personally I'd rather see Khan fight Alexander or Bradley, even Maidana, than fight some nobody that caught him cold with a lucky punch.
