Ring Magazine Latest Heavyweight Rankings (post Arreola-Adamek)

what I don't understand in Ring rankings is why is David Lopez ranked 8th at middleweight

Personally I'd rearrange it a bit. Ring are really harsh on fighters who lose and often drop them below guys who didn't even do anything just because. To me a fighter losing a fight like Arreola-Adamek only says that Arreola is not as good as Adamek - not that he's not as good as Valuev, Dimitrenko, Chagaev and Boystov too. My top ten would look like this: 1. Wladimir Klitschko 2. Vitali Klitschko 3. Alexander Povetkin 4. Tomasz Adamek 5. David Haye 6. Chris Arreola 7. Eddie Chambers 8. Ruslan Chagaev 9. Denis Boytsov 10. Samuel Peter ...which to me doesn't look an altogether weak division anymore. Well, there are plenty good fights to be made anyway. I would like to see Boytsov vs Peter...

I dont like Arreolla at 10. Hes a Top 5 my Heavy in my eyes. well he has lost 2 of his last 3 fights

Arreola should be on Dimitrenko's position, Dimitrenko out of there, and Peter in. And :lol1: at the Kessler thing.

Nah, its fine Wlad is the HW champ, Vitali is #1, and Haye is #2 because he does have a belt. So Jan Zaveck should be ahead of Mayweather, Cotto, Collazo, Clottey, etc at WW? FTR I'm okay with Haye being at least top 5 now that he beat Ruiz. It was kinda absurd to be top 3 before that.

Haye is the #2 contender. Wlad is the ring magazine HW champion, easy. Oh yes. I forgot about the Ring title itself. So technically Vitali is the #1-ranked contender to that belt.

Shouldn't he be #3 after Wlad and Vitali? The way they numbered it is a bit weird. They have Wlad as The Ring champ, then they go by contender rank. #1 Vitai, #2 Haye and so on. It's Ring Magerzine, so it ain't supposed to make sense.

I dont like Arreolla at 10. Hes a Top 5 my Heavy in my eyes. He also won 6 of the first 7 rounds against Adamek in your eyes. Despite the fact that he was outlanded in every round in the fight except one.

I agree with Adamek's rank but Arreola should be at least 7th.

Looks OK to me. But if Povetkin doesn't want a piece of Wlad, he should take on Adamek instead. Good fight! And why can't people ever spell Boytsov correctly? :laff2:

Arreola would put hands on Dimitrenko. I dont understand how Dimi gets ranked ahead of Chris yet he lost to fighter ranked lower.

Arreola deserves a better ranking.
