All this speculation of who got knocked down doesn't really matter. What matters is the Abraham hit him when he was down, got DQ'd and now has a loss on his record. I like Abrahamn but that was dirty, period. In other news, I can't wait to see him knock Froch silly in August. How satisfying that will be!
Can you guys listen to me? It was a cross between a cuff push and a punch. It was a "cuff punch." And if I was the referee I would have called it a knockdown because in 'real time' it looked a punch...
so was it a cuff or a push?
maybe got cuffed, but i wouldn't call it a push, more like a punch that missed
it was a cuff. his own momentum along with the cuffing action, pushed him into the ropes.
yes, but so what? he was off-balance due to a push.
its not even a judgment call. AA got cuffed. simple as that.

would arthur have fallen to the ropes had dirrell not landed?

Would Dirrell have been on the floor if AA didn't land?
The answer is no. Hence it was a KD.

Would Abraham have been put on his ass if it wasn't for the ropes holding him up?
The answer is yes. Hence it was a KD, according to the rules
They cancel each other out
But the punch didn't land....
Watching fight camp 360 with the cameras zoomed in, it looked like a forearm push to the neck more than anything.
It's not a myth. I've seen the clip many times and what put Abraham down might be called a "push-punch." It's not exactly a punch and not exactly a push either. It's a judgment call that could go either way...
he would, but since it wasnt a punch that sent him there it doesnt matter. abrahams KD of dirrell was legit though, but its all the same. abraham needed a KO and he wasnt gonna get it so an extra point doesnt matter, and he threw away his chances by DQ'ing himself. the DQ cant be argued about.
Had he not got screwed out of the knockdown and Dirrell not gotten so much as a warning for the low blows, perhaps AA wouldn't have been frustrated enough to hit Dirrell on the ground. That, combined with getting schooled by Dirrell, was probably too much to take.

That was obvious even before watching fight camp 360... I just caught fight camp 360 at 11:00 AM est.

So???????????????????
Abraham`s knockdown of Dirrel was Dirrel tripping over his foot.

i can imagine the ropes not being there and abraham going face first into the ground :lol1:

Abraham floored Dirrell with a straight right in the 10th. That's pretty damn obvious. Dirrell went down on the end of a punch. Their feet weren't even tangled. Dirrell's foot was just inside Abraham's but they didn't entwine and he didn't trip because both AA and AD's foots were stationary. Dirrell simply caught a right and went down.
