but u can only be a good fighter if u r american, lol.
the same people that r saying that green wouldn't land a punch on green r the same people that said jones would make green look like an amateur and wouldn't land a punch, lol. fools.
Sh1t if Glenn is done Hop is def done. Only reason he would make it some what competitive is his defensive style and his dirty azz tricks. I never thought I'd say this but I hope somebody retires Hop old dirty azz.
Against Daniel Judah and the second Chad Dawson fight, Glenn looked absolutely done. He's got decent stamina still, but he could barelyyy find Judah and simpley couldn't find Dawson. Against Yusaf Mack, he looked done till Mack stopped moven and stood and traded with him. Against a boxer like Hopkins he would lose again. I'm not saying he'd get TKOd like last time but he can't do anything with movement at this point in his career. He's not done but he needs to be matched carefully. Against someone that will fight in close and stay in the pocket and throw he's still got a great chance, but we all know that's not Hopkins
green would smash hopkins.
hopkins simply won't risk it.
i hope he does fight green to make the ignorant ones eat shit when green ko's him.
You couldn't have picked a more appropriate username homie. Back away from the keyboard before you hurt yourself. You talkin bout the same Green that had extreme difficulty putting away the worst pro I've ever seen in the Argentinian Dominguez on the Hook City PPV? He KO'd Roy.......legless old Roy who sat on the ropes for him. What on earth else has he done? His claims to fame before that were losing to Mundine and gettin the shit kicked out of him mentally and physically in sparring by James Toney. Aside from that you wouldve never heard of the bum.
I love how everyones crucifying Hopkins for Saturdays performance. Is he usually dirty? Yes. Does he usually clinch a lot? Yes. Usually when he clinches it's for a short time and punched and works. But Saturday night ALLLLL Roy would do was clinch and hang on for dear life. Occasionally Roy would throw those ridiculous "uppercuts", aka him swinging his forearm upwards and tapping Hopkins with his thumb-area of his glove. Anytime Ex clinched he tried to work and Roy clung to him like a ****in leech. Bernard also had to try n lead the whole fight due to Jones' reluctance to do anything, when is the last time you can recall him doing that? Probably not since the first Roy fight.
I'm in no way trying to say is was a good fight on Bernards behalf, but all this hate on him we should be hearing double on Roy. All he wanted was to make it to the final bell, why is that being overlooked?
I hope Hopkins fights this clown so he can shut him up for good.
LOL. still buthurt about your hero's disgracefull performance.:bottle::bottle::bottle:
I agree and would like to see it. They're winnable fights. But he's not gonna do it.
Even if Adamek picked up a HW belt very soon, Hop will price himself out of the fight.
Winnable? At this point in time, I no longer think B-Hop could beat both Adamek or Chad. I came to that conclusion after watching B-Hop vs. Ornelas.
Hopkins is old and his last 2 fights haven't been impressive.
Youth and speed mean a lot by the way. Johnson is not Hopkins either, different type fighter, and Dawson was not the same fighter then. He's smarter and better now. He would outpoint Hopkins by just outworking him.
Probably, but with Hopkins, dirty ass style, an the fact that he would make Dawson lead it would be close and ungle. Also Dawson leading would leave him open.
Johnson is tailor made for Hopkins, and Hopkins is more skilled than Dawson an has much much better defense. All Dawson has on Hopkins is youth and speed. Lets not forget a less shot ersion of Jonhson had Dawsonall but KOed.

how is he tailor made? he's a pressure fighter with(at this point) probabley more than twice the stamina reserves of hopkins
Hopkins would have too hard of a time fighting at the slow pace he does against Dawson who does have a decent enough work rate in addition to being way too fast and having solid fundamentals himself.
Why is Glen shot because he lost one fight and then TKO's a top 10 opponent just after that?
Glen is not just a brawler, I would describe him as a pressure boxer and has some respectable defensive skills himself.....B-hop wouldn't be able to land on him at will like Dawson did because he is just not that quick and the pressure he brings could wear Bernard down.

Its actually somewhat believable that Danny Green could beat Hopkins at this point.
Hopkins is not fighting on a world class level anymore, but no shame I mean the guy is 45.
agreed imagine how many breaks Hopkins would force if green rushed him like he did Jones.
Dawson would dominate him at this point, and I would favor Glen to win a rematch actually.......he is way better than he was when Hopkins beat him years ago......but would just rather Hopkins retire because its past time and there is nothing to prove if he is not going to pass the torch to Dawson by getting beaten by him.
Dominate? Ok. Johnson would have no chance. I don't know if you have been under a rock but Johnson is shot, and brawlers are tailor made for Hopkins, whats Johnson going to do outbox him. You realize that Dawson does not, and can not lead, and he would have no choice but to lead against Hopkins woho would fight a dirty ass fight and make it close.

There is no way Green would beat Hopkins at this time, none. What would he do, knock Hopkins out? The only person at LHW who could beat him is Dawson, who would only probably win an ugly SD if that.
