Carlos is correct, the gameplan is to test the opponent's chin early on, get him out quick if you can, and if they withstand it, then settle into the fight.
Omar wasn't spent or tired after that initial burst. He almost KO'd the dude 2 minutes into round 1, and got his jab working and landed crushing body shots the 2nd half of the 1st round.
Notice how with some corner instruction he came out very calm and controlled in the 2nd round. The commentators described the KO punch: "That is the perfect way you throw it, that is textbook stuff."
For the doubters, remember that this guy still only has less than 15 rounds of experience!
Took the words right out my mouth alot of these so called boxing fans are real idiots and dont know the sport Omar is the future and thats why after everyone of his fights since the start of his career people cant stop talking about him his on every forum from here to east side boxing to espn to maxboxing etc all talking about him he is the future of boxing period he is something special future PPV megastar!

He is very exciting. You know you're a bad ass when the commentators tell you not to blink or you might miss the entire fight.
His next fight is scheduled for the end of May I believe. I'd like to see him fight more frequently, because like you said he has only 13 rounds of ring experience. If he can keep KO'n fools in the first round he should fight every 15 days.

Man, this happens every couple of years. A new guy blasting everyone out in one round and everyone and their dog is saying 'He's the next Tyson!' and you can just see him doing the same thing until he meets someone who can take his shots, pull him into deep waters and take him out when he's exhausted. He blew his entire wad in that first round nearly. If that guy had great stamina and a great chin (margaritoesque type guy), Henry would have been ****ed.
I can't say anything about him until he's been in with someone who can fight and take a shot. Then we can see how Henry fights in the latter rounds of a long, tiring fight.
I think he slowed his pace more, he wasn't exhausted. He was still heavily outthrowing and outlanding Waite, and his power was still there.
That is somewhat similar to Tyson's style. Tyson would come at you very hard for the first round and try to emasculate you in an attempt to KO you early.
If you made it out of the first round, the fight was going to be a little different - the pace was changed. You can't fight every second of the fight like that but he shook Waite's core and had him doubting himself after 10 seconds and that's mission accomplished.

no try this one this happens every blue moon a special fighter like Omar comes along first he was compared to Cotto not Tyson and it seems like after every fight he has he is compared to some great fighter from the past or present cotto, tyson, duran, hagler etc omar is special and one day you will be eating your own words all the great fighters had doubters like you coming up in their career and proved them wrong and your next mate! :boxing:
He will be on HBO or Showtime in like 3 more fights.. ESPN in less. I wouldn't be surprised.
I've known about this cat since he debuted.. No one took him serious though, but the dude means business.. BIG BUSINESS!

Bishop has a way clearer version of this fight than you. STEP YOUR VIDEO RIPS UP BEYYYOOOTTCHH!
He is definitely someone to keep an eye on. Reminds me of Tyson a bit but I can tell he needs someone that will take him some rounds. He totally punched himself out in the first.
son, look at the date I posted this and the date the video was uploaded.
