I think Pac was intentionally doing it on purpose. Even a repeated 3 uppercuts in a row. reason? make fight more intereting. Clottey wasnt doing much but turtle shell for 95%. yep, he did it to make clottey open up when on the offensive. and to those who want pac vs margo. there is a limit when it comes to professional fighting and they are not in position to judge.

I think after the first few rounds Paq had taken a few clean shots from Clottey and knew Clottey couldnt hurt him with one punch, Cotto has better one punch power than Clottey and couldnt really hurt Paq. Paq was willing to take a few shots to give himself opportunities to counter and score, take one, land three. Yes, if he fights Floyd, he will get hit. However, Floyd will not even be as agressive as Clottey was (if you can call that agressive), and certainly will not land with any more athourity than Clottey did.

Margo's size,uppercuts and work rate is a problem for Manny,and Margo has the power to hurt Manny unlike Josh. I would love to see the midget against the WW giant. This fight would be entertaining. Arum was wrong to pick Clottey,cuz Clottey was going to make it a one sided bore fest. Margo vs Manny is a war.

Did pac get hit? Yes, did Pac land on Clottey almost every time he finally opened up..you bet! Sure there were plenty of well earned shots (primarily the strait right) but for the most part Pac was trying to get Clottey to open up so he can do some real damage after working the body.

Pac won't fight the same way against Margarito or Mayweather. It's clear the tactics were be relentless in order to prevent Clottey from settling and opening up from his defence. And it worked.

For me, Pac was coasting and squaring up to get Clottey to hit. Once he did hit, then Pac would come back. Whether he will try and stand in front like that in a close fight, I doubt, but Pac has never been a defensive fighter.

this is simply nitpicking and fault-fnding. sure, pac got hit by some shots just like he got hit in the cotto fight. but he took them all well and hit clottey with much more punches. pac clearly staggered clottey with a right hook and a vicious body combo early in the fight. that's probably why clottey put those "earmuffs" on for the entire fight as he felt pac's strong punches early. clottey also had a badly bruised right cheekbone. but it didn't look too bad since he is so dark-skinned unlike pac. and clottey now is probably feeling the effects of those 100+ body punches which by itself equaled clottey's total punches landed for that fight. they expect Pacquiao to never get hit. that's what they expect of a small, little man who was cutting down a tree that wouldn't fall. They'd hate him too if he didnt get hit, theyd say he's still on steroids if he knocked out clottey. whatever he does, theyd hate him...its all haterade these days.

I think if PBF beats Mosley it will be interesting if the PBF vs Pac fight will happen? I think the next best opponent will be either Bradley or Valero perhaps at 140. Its obvious that pac can be countered as the two marquez fights displayed but the issue is whether the fighter is willing to take some heat in order to give heat? It seems that Pac will continue to fight only Top Rank fighters to keep the money in th3 78 year old Bob Arum's hands.

doesnt mean much, i think he got a bit overconfident at times, maybe a bit sloppy. in addition to that hes always been there to be hit so whats your point? just to get things clear u think margarito is a hard fight for pacquiao? :rofl: margarito is tailor made for pac. if i could create a fighter made for pac it might end up exactly like margarito exceot no mullet to supoort his head when he crashes to the canvas. straight forward, flat footed, low boxing IQ, heavybag style defense etc.. he would make pac break a sweat since he wouldnt go quick, but theres no way in hell he presents any problems for pacquiao.

Heh, Pacquiao only really got hit when he started imitating Clottey's peek-a-boo style to get Clottey to open up. He also fought a lot more flat-footed because he really didn't have to bounce in and out, Clottey was standing there in his shell doing absolutely nothing.
