Hi guys, I am an amateur fighter with my first bout coming this weekend. So far my favouritw combination is the right hook to the body, left uppercut right hook.
What combos should I be practicing and what are some of your favorite combinations?

Lead uppercuts are not something you should be telling a dude that's just starting out to start doing. :lol1:
They are about the easiest punch to counter if you lead with it just a little bit wrong, and if you get caught, you get KTFO.
Depends on how it's done....all I am saying is that he would practice from the usual 1-2 and move on to variations of leads instead of the predictable 1-2.
The hooks and uppercuts can be added later as "leads" and notice I put:
•*But I would rather start with the right footworks then in conjunction with the combos.
Punches without footworks would lead any boxer to being countered easily.
The usual is the 1-2.....but be sure to have the variations, have the 2-1 also. After the straights, then add the hooks and uppercuts. (3-4-5)
Then lead uppercuts (with the lead hand or rear hand) and crosses. (5-3-4)

Go watch Ricardo Lopez and Juan Manuel Marquez (especially his fight against Terdsak Jandaeng). Both threw some of the most amazing combo's I've ever seen. You can learn a lot from these guys.

From your post i'm going to guess you're a southpaw since you started with a right hook to the body.
For your upcoming fight i would suggest you focus on what you already know and nothing else.
But if you get a chance i suggest from a southpaw stance...right hook to the body, right uppercut, then left cross once you bring his head up with the uppercut. Wont be able to fire it as quickly as the combo you like but it will make you less vulnerable to a counter and leaves with different options if he turtles up.
damm son i wish her and me could move but to a different tune. LOL I don't kno its just im more into that hardcore shit I cant stand reggaeton these days because of the softness like rakim y Ken Y and thats the shit that gets played now. Im more into hardcore reggaeton n hip hop bachata is too soft for me, but not all songs are bad
Hahaha!..
I feel you..I use to be strictly hiphop than I got in to R&B and that's mostly what I listen to now..since rap has gone all Gucci Mane about it..:nonono:
and I like RKM & Ken-Y..they got some dope lyrics..I was never big on reggaeton tho..but Bachata is where it's at for me..I guess it fits my swag..since everyone calls me a pretty boy..lol..even tho I hate that shit..
MAN you missin out!!..

My straight punches are great. I am just not very creative when I attack the body :(
The Jab to the body is GOLDEN!..
also if you're an orthodox fighter when you get in range..if you got the hand speed..the jab followed by a left hook to the body is sick too..because you automatically bring his hands up with the jab..that's depending on your handspeed tho to be able to bring that left back up to defend..
Thanks guys. I have really good jabs already and my one two is sharp, fast and clean.
Give me some combos that I can massacre my opponent with especially when he is blocking high.
One of my sparring partners fights with the pick a boo style. I want to know some clever ways of destroying the body or getting around the gloves. Tricking the other fighter into letting me hit him.
