Lets say if Mike Tyson hit you in anger. I read somewhere his KO punch has an 85% chance of causing brain damage, not sure if that is true though.
What y'all think?
If Tyson punched you in the head , as hard as he could he would cave your ****ing skull in. It wouldnt surprise me to see some brains spill out your ears as well. Dead before you touched the floor.
There is a fight science tv show, where the show the PSI or something of that nature of a boxers punch... Its enough to cause some damage, but most likely a KO punch probably doesn't have that high of risk of brain damage, cause look at how many people get ko'd by a punch in MMA and boxing and don't have brain damage, %85 is a very high number, alot of guys get knocked out several times without brain damage...
most KO punches are on the button though, not a punch that throws the brain crashing against the back of the skull causing any sort of swelling or bruising though...
Perhaps it depends on what kind of punch, how and where...
OBVIOUSLY the bigger risk is the crashing to the hard floor.
could that happen?
Yes it happened to a guy who was hit by pro boxer Gary Delaney at a night club. Gary did not hit him hard but when he fell he fell onto a solid floor and the drop killed him. I spoke to Gary about it at the Peacock gym while he was awaiting trial. He said he did not hit him hard, his words were I only tapped him.
