No. Clottey is a straight up and down fighter, flat footed that blocks punches instead of movement and slipping. Doesn't mean he is not a very durable opponent... just doesn't have a slick style. But his speed is not that clever, same as his foot movement, hes fairly flat fotted. exactly he is far from slick, BUT he can throw nice combinations with speed and his punch power is strong. Clottey is certainly black, but he is also certainly not slick. To be honest, it's a more daunting task than fighting Malignaggi, but I think Malignaggi would've been a good fight to prepare for Mayweather.
