Freddie Roach "Mayweather is not better than Cotto"

If Roach tells that to Pacquiao and that's what he expects, then Pac will lose. Mayweather will be the best boxer Pacquiao will ever faced and vice versa.

Absolutely ridiculous statement, and I like Cotto... I agree. Cotto is my favorite fighter but Mayweather beats him easily.

yea man, Roach says alot of things man. I remember they made threads about how Mayweather contradicts himself so much (and he has done it many times before), I think its time for someone to make a thread about Roach's contradictions. This forum is horrible at reading sarcasm, and also gullible when it comes to what Freddie Roach says. Just like Phil Jackson, Roach is just talking trash. He is not serious. I don't get why so many people are too dumb to realize that. It's hilarious how people are actually having conversation about this by saying things like "Cotto's offense is better", "Floyd doesn't throw enough punches", and "Freddie is getting scared". And even if you made a thread about how Freddie contradicts himself, what would be the point if he isn't being serious? It's just trash talk and nothing more.

floyd has better defense than cotto, but not offense. floyd doesn't throw enough punches That is why Cotto may have a physically more dangerous offence, but Floyd definitely has a more diverse and accurate offence which I would be more fearful of, because he can tag you at will whereas you can counter Cotto's offence much easier. What is the point of throwing more punches if they are going to be missed punches. Floyd probably lands more in fights than Cotto does despite throwing less.

I like Cotto and Roach. But that's a stupid comment. Mayweather is clearly much more skilled and a tougher fight, which even Freddie admitted, so it kinda contradicts that really. Cotto has become easier to hit over the past year or two imo. Mayweathers still supremely talented in both defence and attack in fairness.

Freddie is just trying to hype the fight, that's all, otherwise he wouldn't make such a joke statement as saying Cotto(lol) is better then Mayweather.

I really like Cotto but Floyd has both better Offence and Defence than Cotto, because he varies it, rarely misses and keeps you guessing. Cotto can't fire shots going backwards like Mayweather can and Mayweather also has those short sharp punches he can fire on the way out. Mayweather is superior on the inside and on the outside. Cotto just hits harder. Manny and Floyd both have better offence than Cotto, which is why you hear people like JMM saying they hit him with shots he didn't see rather than just brute strength. floyd has better defense than cotto, but not offense. floyd doesn't throw enough punches
