Guys did you watch how a feather fisted Diaz busted Marquez up in their fight? Marquez is great in the lower weight classes but he would be way too slow and his power is not enough at 147 to even hurt Cotto. Cotto beats him up pretty bad and stops him the later rounds.

JMM just suffered a one-sided loss and he isn't talking about retiring while Cotto is. I think Cotto would have to get to JMM early or else I honestly see JMM taking it because of Cotto's stamina issues and his inclination to get hit with uppercuts which we know that JMM throws well. I don't think that JMM is gonna stay at Welterweight. But with JMM trying to get big money fights and getting out I could see this fight materializing even though I'd rather see JMM fight someone else like Bradley. Marquez has no business fighting above 135. His body just does not carry the weight up well and he gives to much away. A fight with Cotto would be crazy! Even a Cotto without a trainer, I think stops Marquez... Cotto's to big.

I think a Hatton-JMM fight would've been easier for JMM though unless the ref in England totally rigged it. I've got a dab of respect for Cotto, but not much. Lol.

i actually CAN'T look at the weight difference alone, and say that absolutley means JMM stands no chance. ppl look at the mayweather fight and say JMM doesn't belong at 147, when the truth is, he just couldn't hit floyd, and that had nothing to do with weight. JMM would be the underdog, b/c of the weight difference, but i think has a viable chance to beat cotto...at least this version of cotto.

JMM needs to finish wit a Hatton payday at JWW or a Kat fight at LW. Fightin Cotto is a sure loss. He got no business at WW.
