There's like a zillion of them. First Pacquiao only wants March because of the elections, then he wants the date pushed back, then Mayweather wants 154, he wants 10 oz gloves, etc...
Everyone yapping about how so and so is "scared" and "ducking". Like they'd rather the biggest fight in boxing to not happen just so they can bash one fighter and continue to ride the nuts of their man-crush. Their homosexual feelings toward the fighters they like take precedence over the good of the sport.
As long as both fighters are healthy, they'll fight.
The problem with the haters and flamers is they know the fight is going ahead and one person is going to lose (unless split decision, which may happen). They don't feel confident in their fighter so any excuse to have something to fall back on when their fighter loses is being established now.
The biggest winner in this will be boxing, hopefully it will come back to apart of its former glory.
That's my main worry, that the fight will be dull. Mayweather-De La Hoya (which actually surpassed my expectations) didn't exactly make the sport look good to the mainstream.
I don't really care who wins as I like both fighters. I think Mayweather wins, I might place a small bet on him depending on the odds, but the fight being a good competitive one is what I'm really rooting for.

True that. Also I don't expect the negotiations to be finalized until January at the most, what with the holidays and all. This fight will be made, I'm sure. Only the minor details are being ironed out.
Nuthuggers and haters just jump on every opportunity to bash either boxer perhaps in an attempt to make themselves feel good in doing so. Pathetic really, but entertaining in some way.

Oh, that was Oscar talking about his own fight with Floyd. lol I misunderstood your post. :grill:
what im saying is that i learned from that fight exactly what threadstealer is talking about. You can search my post history even recently, i rarely get into issues like ducking unless i see its blatant and it rarely ever is. While most of these people would hang on every single word of these advisors and promoters, i just dont concern myself with that. I hung on to every word of that oscar fight to my detriment and ill never do that again.
In the words of threadstealer
A lot of posters are like little kids, wanting to choose a side, "oh I'm with this side, blah blah" and dislike the rivals of their favorite fighters.
Oscar says many things. I stopped taking that fool seriously a long time ago.
basically de la hoya was whining for weeks up until the fight was signed, and everyone on here was complaining about how mayweather was ducking de la hoya because they knew hed be a risk to his undefeated record and that he wouldnt be able to run from him like he did baldomir just a couple weeks before.

Oscar De La Hoya:
"Im just not feeling it anymore, im not interested. The moment has just passed for me. Mayweather had his chance"

Amen. I've been singing this tune for weeks. This fight was a done deal from the start. I think the date was really the only REAL issue. The money involved is too great for either side to get too pissy.
At the end of the day, everyone involved is rolling in money, you really think anyone's ducking the biggest paycheck of their life? Please.
Sometimes I think people are pissed cause this is a done deal. It's actually happening. And thankfully this fight came together quick enough so we don't have to deal with negotiation crap for months.
They agreed on the $$$. The rest, is just details.
