It reminded me of Clottey and Margarito.
Laying on the ropes with the high guard, then stalking Cotto when he was hurt.
Pac's a monster and was eating some hard shots.
I didn't get to see it (working) had to read about it here. I could be wrong, but my initial impression is that the fight started off fairly even but became more one-sided as the fight went on. I guess my hunch was right, Cotto should have boxed the entire fight, but big props to Cotto...
cotto fans once again will go into exile. they only came back when the margarito allegations started giving them a false sense of hope. I give all the credit in the world to cotto though he is a great warrior but Pac is just a KING OF KINGS!!!!!!!!! We are watching true greatness folks!!!
Props to Cotto, no knees, gave it his all.
That said, I found it pretty funny when Pacquiao stopped chasing him and just stood in the middle of the ring like: "Am I gonna have to keep chasing you?"
And LOL and this quote:
Merchant: "...and you didn't give him any mercy."
Pacquiao: (laughing) "I know."
Dude is sadistic.
I disagree.
I think Pac respects Cotto as a man, if not so much as a fighter. He spared Cotto towards the end.
Manny could have finished him in more devastating fashion, and chose not to.
Shit was clear as day to me... Almost as clear as day as me knowing Pac would win this fight...
To my Filipino brothers, please let's not gloat. Show these people that we have class by showing appreciation for both fighters. Miguel Cotto is a real gentleman in the ring.
I honestly don't think it was embarassing, i can say that Cotto was outclass after the 4th or 5th round, but he was in that fight prior to those rounds. Again, much respect for Cotto and Manny is simply awesome.
If Cotto aint shit...what's the big deal?
Cotto's a very good fighter...Pac's just a great one...
Too bad Pac will have to step in the ring with a boxing God in his next fight...
That wasn't exactly B-Hop vs. Pavlik. It was pretty even early on; Cotto getting dropped 2 times ofcourse. Notice Pacquiao stole some of the rounds and Cotto was also able to outbox Pacquiao in certain times. It wasn't so much competitive later into the fight but I wouldn't call that one-sided, no way. Better man won though.
9-2 was the score. cotto only looked okay when manny stood infront of him and let him throw. It wasn't close at all unless you are talking about the first round.
Props to Cotto, no knees, gave it his all.

Give props to Cotto to for his great heart please. :D
Of course, I dont care who won but you have to give miguel credit for fighting the very best his division has to offer.
