Would people be giving Pacquiao a chance in this fight??
Freddie Roach keeps saying that size wont be a factor in this fight but Pacquiao is now facing a guy who has fought and beat Shane Mosley, who is obviously alot bigger than Pacquiao.
I think whether or not Cotto can win this fight depends on how much he has left after that devastating loss to Margarito. If he's still the fighter who beat Mosley then I think he's gonna give Pac hell and could very well come out with the win.
I think so. Pac's momentum has more to do with his KO wins over Hatton and DLH than Cotto's loss to Margarito. While he has shined in those outings Cotto is coming off a tough win over Clottey, which some people dispute. That fight would still have blunted Cotto's momentum had he beaten Margarito, and the Pac hype would still be full force.
If Margarito din't cheat Cotto would have gotten the De La Hoya fight insted of Pacquiao and probably the Hatton fight also. Pacquiao would still be at 135 fighting bums like Diaz.
I agree with this!!!!
Damn great point, never looked at it that way....in sayin that I hope Cotto spoils thier plans
how bout Arum likes to make great fights regardless..you guys and your theories lol..
Pac started at 106! I doubt Arums logic is since a HUGE WW in Margarito beat down Cotto he is gonna finish im off with Pac..c'mon man ARUM GETS PAID EITHER WAY.. you guys are goofy
Cotto isnt a below average defender at 140LBS....
And no i dont think Pacman would be fighting Cotto had he won vs Rito...Arum is thinking Cotto is alil shot and his name on Pacs resume would look sick..having beat DLH,Hatton and Cotto? on top of Barrera,Morales and Marquez...sick.

If Cotto would of beat Margarito he would be p4p #3
He wud have to be at least #2 right behind Manny. If Cotto didnt lose wat did JMM do to be rank over Cotto?
if Cotto never lost the fight still happens....it wud be for the p4p title. If Cotto never lost he wud be the top of the ww food chain(and no Clotty wud never have gotten a fight) Pac was moving in that direction anyway so I think the fight wud still happen. Now who wud be fav to win idk bcuz IMO this fight is a toss up, to me if Cotto doesn't get a bad cut he wins, but if he does Pac attacks the blood like he always does.
Yea, cuz Pac still would have beaten DLH. That seems to be the big reason, no matter how wrong it is, that people think lil Pac in 18 months can go from a JLW to beatin a prime WW.
Margarito use use illegal wraps, he did not thrust his own abilities, he went the illegal way. when a person do not thrust in himself then the go in an illegal manner.
So???
he did not

Cotto was well and truly found out against Margarito, regardless of the gloves! He struggled against Ricardo Torres, and did well to beat Paulie M. Mosley doesnt have half the speed of the Pacman! Does Manny really have the power against Cotto? Well just ask Ricky Hatton! Manny to win inside six rounds!!
No, probably not but it's hard to say, I mean would Cotto have looked the way he looked against Clottey if he had beaten Margarito? Would he have even fought Clottey had he beaten Margarito? Maybe he would've been the one who fought Mosley and he might have been the one who lost to Mosley, or he would've rematched Margarito and might have won or lost. The fight with Pacquiao might not be happening at all if he had beaten Margarito so it's impossible to say.
