What if Dana White took over boxing??

All things aside we have to admit that if Boxing was run with the same template as UFC then Boxing would be better off. Just think: -No alphabet belts -No promoters The top guys from each weight class would be much more likely to fight. Dana White is a promoter and there are many alphabet belts in MMA. It just seems that the average UFC fan is ignoring this along with all the other world class fighters outside of the UFC. He is great at marketing his brand and making money for himself...so who gives a shit, he is no better then Warren, Arum...he makes a killer like King seem classy when compared to White's interview and lack of verbal skills. The man is an idiot who managed to befriend two billionaires, and have them bankroll a company which was about to go bust before they lucked out on a cheesy reality show (which btw Dana was against the idea).

This is the same Dana White that refuses to co-promote, signs fighters to lifetime likeness contracts and almost "fired" the #2 welterweight in the world for temporarily refusing to sign away his image for a video game for no profit to the fighter. The same guy who is raking in record PPVs but still pays his fighters peanuts...yeah, can't wait. Btw, Dana White tried to make it as a boxing promoter and failed. Thats why he is always so bitter when talking boxing. He can't even co-promote what would be the biggest money making fight in MMA. Dana White is not the commissioner of MMA, and there are many fights that can't be made because of his companies policies.

I always tell hardcore MMA fans that they can compare MMA to boxing when MMA is 60 years old. You should all do the same.

He couldn't boxing is too big

The money isnt there in the UFC for white to pay them well and thats because UFC is not as big or as good as Boxing. If Dana ran boxing he would get his ass kicked quick cuz he would hold all the money for himself and not pay the fighters like they are paid now. Besides all the fighters obey and kneel to him like they do because the UFC pays the most, even if it isnt that much. Fedor didnt sign with the UFC because dana wanted total control of him.

I mean promoters could continue being promoters because we dont want anymore unemployed people in this ****ed up economy, but what if there was some agreement where you fought only the top 10 out of the division 2 or three times a year.

as shitty as all of the politics etc in boxing there is now ... white taking over would be a nail in the sport as we kno it ... and i dont think in a good way ufc is not the best fighting the best ... its what ufc tells u is the best with all there promotion and u actually believing it ... its marketing bullshit imo, ya theres sum elite and amazing fighters but most of the others are scrubs. he even has us believen most of the fights he shows are good, but they havent been lately. i've watched ufc for a long time and its even more wrestling dominant lately and the fights have been boring period. but every ones who watches it is to stupid and drunk to notice yea but thats exactly why ill always watch boxing over ufc anytime. I love boxing, maybe iv been spoiled by this super six tourny even though bute should have fought instead of taylor to begin with. anyways i just wish the best would fight the best in each division its annoying to see money get in the way of things. example being arum may never deal with mayweather that means we probably wont get the winner of pac.cotto against mayweather.

i knew id get ripped for this on a boxing forum but i mean maybe its the variety of fighters out there but imagine how good fights would be if top guys fought the top guys, i mean in the lighter division you dont have that at all and imo thats where the best fights could be made. minimumweight (nietes,Oleydong,Roman Gonzalez) Flyweight (Calderon, Sosa, Viliora and Segura) imagine if these guys fought each other. Id say Junior Bantamweight but they arnt doing that bad setting up fights. Bantamweight( Hasegawa, Cermona, Yohnny Perez, Anselmo moreno, Mares,Morel, Penalosa. Man i could keep going and going division by division.

i see what your saying but as a boxing fan wouldnt you want to see the best fight the best, if boxing had the same concept as ufc in that sense, people wouldnt even talk about ufc outdoing boxing. It just does not work like that in boxing and someday in UFC (or MMA in general) the fighters will want a fair cut of the pie and not just the crumbs they get now. UFC has control but they are screwing the fighters, I would rather the fighters get paid like in boxing not dudes behind the scene.

I would probably stop watching since it would turn into an over-commercialized circus.

He would fail because he is not used to having competition and he is use to completely running the show with his fighters. He also has total control of the TV aspect which is not something he could do in boxing.
