How do you rate Ward.

I say A-, his offense is excellent and his defense and elusiveness is improving. I thought Kessler would put up a better fight.

Ward is a good boxer, but I see some vulnerabilities in him.

Experience will be gained during the tourney. Even if he doesn't get past Kessler in the first fight, his next two opponents (Taylor then Dirrell, if I'm not mistaking) leaves the door open for the semi's and perhaps a rematch. If he is as good as some of you say, he should be one of the favorites by then? Anybody else believe in that scenario? Perhaps, but not easy, even if he has the skill level some people claim. If Taylor remains in the tourney he would still be a big challenge, and so would any replacement. Dirrell did have some pop in his gloves, while Ward seems somewhat underpowered compared to the rest of the s6. Ward has all his fights at home, and faces Dirrell after he has been at the hands of Abraham. That may help him a bit.

a win over ward would not top the wins that mikkel has already had over fighters like mundine, beyer and andrade. i don't think that ward is too far behind these guys but imo he has not done as much as some of them. yes he has beat miranda but he is yet to face someone who is a good all round top 10 SMW fighter. unfortunately he has been thrown in at the deep end against a skilled, powerful and very good all rounded fighter in kess.

What I'm saying is that when you pit a properly groomed, versatile, super quick, former, American Gold Medalist against a standard, 1-2 Euro whose greatest achievement is losing to another overrated Euro and has only fought 3 bums in 3 years since that loss...squandering his prime years... well its hard to say since we dont really know how good ward is, he might be a future legend or he might be another prospect turn bust. at the end of the super six we will know how good dirrell and ward really are. and kessler for that matter who hasnt really beaten anyone of note yet. Co-sign everything you said... I've only seen Ward fight a couple times he seemed pretty solid but I can't really give a good opinion... And Kesller is one of the most overrated people on this board cause in my opinion he hasnt really done anything "great" or beaten anyone noteable like you said
