Is Manny supposed to win or lose?

After reading all the downing of Cotto, and all the hype on Pac. Im starting to wonder, if Cotto wins would it be an upset? And if Cotto wins will all the Pac followers just say "well he was bigger (not really but) so he should have won. Instead of just saying the better man won period. I think with all the hype on Manny now, I dont see this as a big man lil man fight, I see it even. But you guys let me know what you think about this. well according to all the so called experts out there pac should win and cotto dont have much of a chance. may the best man win.

of course there will be excuses whoever loses. But who wins will be because of the better fighter. If Pac beats Cotto it is because he is the better fighter. If cotto wins its because he is better on the night. Of course there will be excuses but that wont be an explanation. When 2 people fight there will be a winner and a loser.

It's a 50-50 fight. If Manny can handle Cotto's power, he's supposed to win. If not, Cotto is supposed to win. I think it will be somewhere in between that, Pa won't crumble at the first taste of Cotto's punches like some people think, but he won't be able to take a night of Marquez fight like punches from Cotto.

I think it's not fair for Cotto to not gain props if ever he wins this bout. Manny is #1 P4P and beating a P4P even if it's not his natural weight division is an achievement in itself. Besides, everyone seems to be rooting for Pacquiao so.... Manny is supposed to lose. Comparing the two fighters he is a smaller, less powerful guy. People, more and more, became fans of him because of his string of victories. Pacmania rules!

Realistically, no, Pacquiao is not supposed to win. He hasn't proven he's a legitimate contender at WW however because of his recent wins--people think otherwise.

Manny has celebrity status, so if you ask a casual boxing observer they will favor Pac. I think it's a toss up when you ask most people in here maybe the slight edge goin to Cotto.

I think you are wrong.... The odds favor Manny as a winner but that does not mean he is supposed to win... come on. This is not about books this is about one fighter against another fighter and the books fail must of the time. Do you really believe they would be betting on Pacquiao if it wasn't cause of the way he handle his past two opponents? Everyone should know that Cotto was better than De La Hoya, that De La Hoya was past his prime. If Cotto were the one that fought Manny instead De La Hoya boxing critics would've still pick Manny to lose, but ever since he won now he's seen as a monster. A monster he might really be, but I doubt they believed in him before like they do now.

if Cotto win he will become the P4P king. if Manny win all those haters still wouldnt give him enough credit. the naturally smaller Manny will fight the naturally bigger welterweight champion. Mayweather got a lot of credit beating JMM who is naturally smaller. getting credit like making him number 2 pound for pound. if Cotto had fought JMM, Cotto would still be outside the top 5 P4P. Cotto will destroy JMM in a welterweight division.

His previous 3 fights are the reason he is the odds favorite. Hell... after the Diaz fight (in the post fight interview ), Arum himself said "keep him away from Miguel Cotto". Now ... here we are. Manny is the favourite by quite a bit at the moment. So, yes it would be an upset if Cotto won. Though nothing shocking certainly. Cotto is a live underdog.

Vegas has him as a 2 to 1 favorite.

Cotto is the underdog for some reason(i think they're even),but if he wins,Im sure the Pac fans will say Cotto was supposed to win anyway cause he was bigger,so Cotto will get absolutely NO credit if he wins.....its ashame

You will see all the pac huggers saying well Cotto was a the bigger fighter... etc etc etc... If Pac wins I will say it like it is Pac was the superior boxer. I think the only way he can win is actually boxing and running like forrest gump.
