Relax....I agree with you. Just figured it'd be relevant to the thread to let everyone know Jermain Taylor's explanation for it.
Oh ofcourse ofcourse! no problem :D
Almost every punch he throws is a power punch. I've noticed this for a very long time, he doesn't have to punch with that sort of commitment; unless he knows he will land. Honestly from watching Taylor vs. Winky, B-Hop, Pavlik, Froch...I've come to that conclusion.

As shadows pointed out he also seems tense in his fights not relaxed which is his main problem.
I've noticed that also, sort of like Mayorga. Watch Mayorga...there are some similarities. To me though, he shouldn't be throwing with so much power, unless he knows he will land. That right there is killing him in my opinion.
I've been wanting to say this for about a year now. Just wanted to let that be known.

I agree, he punches like he is trying to punch through them every time. Might work for 6 or so rds but in the later rds, he is too tired to punch when it counts.
He never really sets up punches just tries to beat the other guy down; it might work for some guys but he is not one of them.
Yeah, Taylor would need insane stamina to keep that up.
According to Jermain Taylor he gasses because he cuts a drastic amount of weight too quickly which zaps alot of energy from him. Hence he's hired a conditioning coach and a nutritionist.

nah its because hes not calm. He always looks like he's so hyper and non - relaxed
I have noticed that too, he seems fidgety all the time, like he never really settles in to the fight.

I kinda hate that tick he has too..when he taps his forehead..why the fuck does he do that!?..lol

Yea I agree..Miguel Cotto seems to have the same problem sometimes..
But when he had Pavlik in trouble..he punched himself out going for the KO..and he did the same against Froch..
I hope he's learned from that mistake and doesn't punch himself out against Abraham..cuz that defense won't be broken..so he better not put to much emphasis on trying to get through and pick his shots carefully..

Lol...that's one of many reasons.
Did you see Henry Crawford against Antwoine Smith about two weeks ago. That's a case of a dude who gasses out because he put too much on his punches way too early in a fight. Jermain does a little bit of that too.
