nope. HOF yes, but not an ATG. Or at least not yet.

As it stands, JMM is not an ATG, but he is HOF. If he beats Bradley and Alexander or if Bradley and Alexander fight each other, and JMM beats the winner of that fight the dude is an ATG.

i think he already is a top 100 atg..and a 4th division belt would put him in the top 70-80 atg range He is already an ATG IMO.

The thing is the guys at 135 and 140 have not accomplish much yet, so beating any of those champs wont be enough. he needs to beat Pacquiao for sure and lets say, Bradley or a unified champ, not a single champ. Because hm beating Khan or Alexander at this point means shit!!!!! Hmm I think a Pacquiao win is a big ask. I mean, I don't think any of us regard him quite on that level and not being quite as good as Pacquiao doesn't prevent him from becoming an ATG in his own right. A win over Pacquiao would be amazing but I think he can pursue other courses should that fail. A win over Bradley would be great and Hopkins-Pavlik-esque (except Bradley is the superior boxer and has a better record than Pavlik). I personally think he should seriously try and make a fight with Khan. Beating a highly touted cash-cow prospect coming off decent wins over Kotelnik and Barrera and picking up a strap in process would be great, plus it would be a good choice for this stage in his career as it won't shave any years off his career even if he loses. At worst he would be outboxed (highly unlikely of course).

If he beat someone of Bradley's calibre then yes, but i don't think anyone else is good enough to make him great. barrera is an atg for beating hamed and morales.

I know some will say that he is already an ATG, but for the most part it seems like hes not an ATG with the majority. So what do you guys think? He would be the first Mexican to win championships in 4 divisions. NO OTHER mexican has done this, not julio cesar chavez, not ricardo lopez, not erilk morales, not barrera....no one. And for him to do all of this at age 36, not being a natural jr welter, heck not even a natural light weight, people were saying he didnt look his best at light weight. He already moved up 2 weight divisions to meet the largest mayweather we have seen and gave a valient effort for a decision loss. if he unifes maybe.

That’s a tough question. Historically, to be the first to do it says something but a lot of it depends on who he beat. As of now, looking at the list of belt holders, none of them are ATG or just plain great. Maybe in a few years once they’ve built up their records and have some good wins but as of now they are good wins but not great wins.
