His power is for real, you get hit flush by that dude without a top notch beard and your on your ass. His level of comp hasnt been great but he's also fast and has ok skills. A tough fight for anyone, definitely, but he can be timed and caught as he attacks, but once again, not a dude to **** around with, dangerous guy.
Edwin Valero has very sloppy technique with great power that has led him to be a paper champion in two weight divisions.
As others have previously mentioned, I too am waiting for the Valero hype to end.
The hype is good as long as you live with it and proved your worth it. But I think Valero is overhyped. He needs to be tested to see if he can live with the hype. Soto and Guzman will put him to test.
Is it The Opposition Or Is He Taht Good ???????.......
Just to be a prick, you can count on two hands the amount of fighters that have had 100% KO record past twenty fights, no matter the opposition they faced. It's very rare.
Like it or not, he has also faced (just as an example) better competition than Pac had by the same time in his career. In twenty fights he has already beaten some top contenders as well as world champions and owns a title. That's damn good as well as having a 100% KO ratio.
You'll not find that very often at all, so yes he is very damn good and is probably the hardest puncher in the sport today.
His KO of Pitalua in the second round and his KO of Mosquera in the seventh are stunning wins.
Bobby Pac fougt pretty good then and he ain't such a bad puncher.
But still Soto got to him.
Juarez hit a very weight drained Soto flush many times and didn't even move him.He will be very good at 135.
good point. i just want to end this valero hype :lol1:
good point though he might need to move up in weight. the only fight i have in mind right now was his fight against bob pac but ive seen him tagged several times before

Soto's chin has been affected in some fights by weight loss.He needs to move up at 135.His chin will be granite there.
Anyway Soto is pretty cleaver on the inside and can make him miss.
What are those fights you mention anyway?

Arum was working on getting him one though, and now it can't be done right now because of the fact that Valero is in trouble with the law.
I don't think he was gona get it in order to fight in novemebr anyway.
Lke I said it doesn't matter because of the legal problems anyway.
He doesn't have a Nevada license anyway so it's a moot point.

I think Valero is throwing his career down the drain. He is off the Pacquiao-Cotto card because he is dealing with a drunk driving charge. This guy lacks the professionalism necessary to make it to the top.

Valero may or may not be good, he's just got a helluva punch. That's perfectly fine, cuz a win is a win. But it's time he faced somebody who can scrap. He's yet to KO anybody of merit really. The Soto fight woulda been a gr8 test, so it sucks it ain't happenin. Hopefully this yr we see Valero in a good scrap.
ive seen soto get hurt with lesser puncher than valero so i came up with that conclusion. if soto can avoid getting hit with clean shots, he easily schools valero imo

That's fair.Might be the case.
But Ifeel Soto has the chin to take his shots and walk him down. That would be all she wrote.

i think its a 50-50 fight with soto cause valero have the power to knock him out

In what way?
To beat him or to do a entertaining fght with him?
To beat him Soto and Guzman
To be entertaining but lose Barrios,DeMarco,Prescott
