I’ve been in the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and he’s vulnerable … very, very vulnerable. I was surprised at how easy it was. Actually, I was shocked. It was so easy the first half of the fight that I couldn’t believe it. If I would’ve kept up my jab, even doubling or tripling it, it would’ve been an easy fight. Power? I didn’t feel any power from him. Yes, he was fast but it wasn’t overwhelming. It was one of those fights that I lost and he didn’t win. Physically, I just broke down.
I was surprised that I was able to connect with my jab so easily. And he didn’t know what to do after the jab connected. It would stop him in his tracks. I was surprised that in 37 (previous) fights no one could figure that out. The simplest weapon, the easiest one to throw, is the punch that has the most effect on him. He just didn’t know what to do with it. He panics. And when you get him into a panic mode, that’s when you have him. Marquez knows that. Nacho Beristain has studied Mayweather.

The fight does look easy to me also because Mayweather doesnt look like he was trying hard enough, Mayweather look like he was coasting or relax even too relax, I thought Mayweather was losing the fight up to the 9th round but he stepped on it in the last 4 rounds or so..
It was a bullshit SD, should of been a UD, it couldn't have gone either way it was clear Floyd won that fight.
it was also clear that castillo beat floyd, but shit happens!
It was a split decision...it could have gone either way, Oscar won the first half of the fight.

oscar you stopped jabbing because he started throwing the right over your jab and wobbling your ass
That's why Roach was telling him constantly to double the jab up, which he didn't do. Not sure why, Floyd wasn't doing much when he actually used it. Then he just abandoned the jab altogether and lost. Then after he lost he blamed Roach for giving him a bad gameplan, even though when he listened to Roach he was scoring.
I think the shit Oscar is saying is just that....Shit. Easy my ass.....However I do believe he could have won if he would have kept using his jab to answer the poll question. It was a very close fight anyway, had he been able to steal another round or two it would have been his fight.
For me it wasnt a close fight. It was a good, and clear UD by Floyd. Oscar wins some rounds, and than the fight was close, and he sensed he cant win the fight...
Its everytime the same thing with Oscar. Floyds way of fighting looks like he is vulnerable, but it isnt. He is checking out, what is the gameplan, rhythem, tactic of his opponent, while Oscar always enters the ring a little bit hyped and not relaxed.
I once respected Oscar more, than I do now, but its not important. Whats important is, that he realised, that he was a good and elite fighter, but nothing more. He wanted to be a Boxing-Legend, but he isnt. He fails to make just one step more, to get in the olymp of boxing, where the ATG are waiting.
i agree with oscar that a good jab and boxing skills would give floyd problems. hatton, gatti, baldomir dont have any skill which is why they were easy fights for floyd.
Oscar's an idiot. If Pacquiao or anyone doesn't hit hard, you walk right through them and beat the shit out of them. Oscar's face was still damaged two months after the Manny fight according to some pics I've seen, his left temple area was still swollen. Ask Ricky if Manny hits hard.
And like Gambler said, if the jab is working and winning you the fight, you don't just stop using it.
Oscar shouldn't be allowed to talk about boxing.

Oscar really needs to think before he opens his mouth...
Pacquiao doesn't hit hard then Floyd was easy...but he lost both fights...
They should ask him bout the Hopkins fight...
"Hopkins wasn't a hard fight he just hit me to the body and I got stuck to the canvas. I think their was superglue on the spot I fell or something."

oscar is so full of shit,,,first he said floyd hit harder than manny..now he felt no power.....if it was so easy why did you lose oscar???you got outlanded and your connect percentage was terrible
To be honest Larry he stopped using his Jab after the 6th
I thought it was a close fight but Floyd stepped it up and took it to him
If he would have kept jabbing then he would have won
Floyd isnt stupid. He knows Oscar uses his jab and he was getting set up
but stupid Oscar just stopped
I think oscar is being the promoter he should be and he is talking jive about the other fighter to bring more attention to a fight that hasnt really had any until the piss drinking incident.
I think Oscar knows deep inside that the fight was his to win and he fooked up
but he also knows that Floyd is no sloutch and he has crisp punches that have an effect.
DLH is PATHETIC!!!!!
Accept the lost and move on ... all these freakin excuses {After the fact} only diminishes his past accomplishments. The more I hear DLH these days, the less respect I have for him.:bottle:
i his jab woulda helped, but i still don't think he woulda won. Close, yes...but like someone said earlier, maybe if he didn't lose steam...and maybe if he was a few ears younger.

he never said Floyd hit harder, he said he felt more skill coming off of Floyd
