Man honestly, this has to be the toughest fight of Manny's career...
Cotto man handles the two best southpaws he's faced. Everyone else just gets destroyed bad. I'm thinking he might have an easy time against the smaller Pacquiao as anyone smaller than Cotto, he's simply walked right through for the most part landing his body shots like nothing. :boxing:
wtf?
you don't think pacquiao has enough power so wear gloves that lessens it?
No. He does have power but no more power for example a Margarito(if I remember correctly) that use those gloves and possible plaster for Cotto's fight. I think is a mistake for Manny because he will get hit and he will be sorry when he realize the power.
Nice Video!!!!!
Pacquao can win if he pulls a Calderon vs Cazarez.
Just pot shot and move away, if he stand and trades like he use to he will get KO, but if he sticks and move and run every now and then he can win a Descicion.
In other words he will have to fight out of his character to win!!!!!!
Like he did with Oscar?

100% agreed
All those fighters were there to be hit. They were close to Cotto. Pac will have to be moving in and out constantly, holding, slipping away from the ropes and corners.
Thats surely the only way he will survive.
Also, i dont think Cotto can pull the trigger like he did wen he was younger in lighter weight divions.
Its definatly a case of the bull versus the matador.
I think Manny asking for the punchers glove was a mistake, he does have power, but he does not have more power than Margarito, Moshley, Clottey of Judah. Cotto is proven that he can take hard punches.
From a standpoint we can all agree that this is probably Pac's toughest fight. That said, you gotta give it up to the little guy for getting fights that make boxing fans salivate. I mean win or lose it doesn't matter Nov.14 is a great night for boxing. I mean people can criticize fighters all they want, but if there's no risk involved is the reward really worth it? A man's legacy is measured by the risks he takes and right now ( Yeah I said it ) PBF decision to take on JMM is looking real bad.
You're a moron. Styles make fights.
Lol. Yet Cotto's beaten every single fighter that's been "faster" than him. Paulie, Judah and Mosley. As stated the bigger guys have given him problems and I feel proves Cotto's style is best suited for guys he is bigger than and he, at least by weight will be the far bigger fighter in this fight giving him the edge.
Chalk this one up as another one and after watching, what happened to Paulie this weekend, I just wanna know, who the refs will be. :smashfrea
I meant to say JUDGES!
I am going all the way with Cotto, But dont get me wrong he can lose this fight easy, pac is such a tremendous fighter for the sport and of the end of the day let the best man win.
Go Cotto and Pac let them know that this is going to be the fight of the year.
pacs not like all the ordinary fighters cotto has faced.
the tougher the fight, the tougher pac becomes.
the tougher his training becomes and the smarter he fights.
hes had some bad fights in the past, but he always learned from it and
bounced back even better as a fighter.

Pac will be too fast for Cotto to get hit and Pac accurate laser punches maybe hit as hard as him will always find Cotto's face that will cause the old cuts to tear/open again. Cotto is bigger than him but don't forget Pac even though he's the smaller man is used to fight/spar bigger taller boxers and some welterweight dudes as sparring partner. So Cotto size may not matter that much and is a big mistake if he rely on that. If he go forward just to impose his size, Pac will counter punch him to the max. His good timing may help him a bit but will not do enough damages. Pac's game plan will bring Cotto in later rounds when Cotto usually fades then Pac step up the gas.
if you're so sure about Cotto winning the fight, let's bet 150K Pacquiao>>>>Coto reply to confirm
I'm not betting on either of my favorite fighter. Nor did I say I was sure about it. I just said Manny is gonna have a tough time dealing with that. Both are my favorite fighters and I can't go against either, but so far, I'm leaning towards Cotto if I had to tell someone else to put their money down. Of course, Pacquiao has proven us 3 times before not to go against him, so anything can happen... :boxing:
'Cause maybe Cotto is not underestimating PAC like you are, lol. Seriously though.
Also, I think Cotto has to worry about keeping the weight down. Hence the need for the extra weeks of training.
Well I figure it was for the weight also, but he's always made 147lbs comfortably, generally weighing in a lb under the limit, so I don't see how much harder it would be to lose 1 more pound on weigh-in. He might overtain, but I doubt it. I'd expect him to come in like his Margarito shape. But man, watching the video, the way he rips those body shots, it hurts me watching it. :ugh:
I don't know how Cotto shouldn't win this now. I mean his only loss was a against a tank of a fighter that was very much taller than him with longer arms and cement. Pacquiao will be slightly shorter with I believe the shorter arms. How the hell will he bend his will for Pacquiao if it took Margarito 11 to get Cotto to finally break? Statistics show Cotto has brutalized all the smaller men he's beaten and for the most part he's taken on tough sturdy hombres at 140lbs and 147lbs, and beat them the f**k up. I think Pacquiao was too quick after watching the Clottey fight to say, make the fight happen. That was a bad impression for Pacquiao to get on Cotto based off that fight. Cotto is gonna come out guns blazing and is serious, why hell else would he start 3 months in advanced training?

WAR COTTO!!!! This fight is tough to pick though. I'm going with Cotto by late stoppage, but there are just so many factors going into this fight. How will Pacquiao handle Cotto's power? How will Cotto handle Pacquiao's speed? How well will Cotto cut the ring off? How effectively can Pacquiao nullify Cotto's jab? There's no way of knowing the answer until fight night. We may see Cotto's power being too much from the start or Pacquiao's speed being too much. It may be a close, hard fought war the entire way. We just can't say anything at this point.
Pac's chin tells the tale. If he can take Cotto's punch, he's got it. He can outbox him all nite. If not, he's goin down. I think Cotto's just gonna be too damn big n strong for him.
This fight cant be called down the middle yet,1st Pacman has Never faced a 147 top welter and 2nd Cotto has never faced anyone with the speed or the style or pacman so the way i see it it should be a great fight and either Miguels size and power turn out to be too much for pacman or pacmans speed and style turns out to be hard for cotto to figure out,Either way it goes I say it gets Fight of the year if not the decade! I'm just saying!!!!!!
Exactly how i see it. They both have what it takes to win. And they both have weathered their own perspective adversities. However i very slightly give Cotto the edge, (my opinion, not a prediction or "fact"...lol.).
