No way in hell would Joe have knocked him out, he might have outboxed Froch for 12 rounds and won on points but thats if he would have made it that far , i could see Froch wiping him out in 7 or 8 rounds.
What a bizarre statement. Yeah, he got KD'd, but to suggest that his chin is weak is unbelievable.
Didn't say it's weak tony.
Big difference between weak and "Not granite"
Yeah but he wasnt hurt at all. If a boxer is off balance and is hit flush theirs a good chance their going down just because of losing balance. For me having a good chin is not the staying up part but rather the not showing any sign of the punishment and keeping a clear head.
And lets not forget Roy Jones hit Calzaghe with his fore-arm. Thats a ****ing bone.
Tell me he didn't just say that. He got dropped by short rights from jones and hopkins.

That island is having a strange effect on you, John Locke
Calzaghe got that 'wake up' chin. It starts out cold, but once he gets knocked, he's up and ready to go. I imagine if he ever got stopped in a fight it would have to happen within 3 rounds.
Calzaghe UDs him wide , like 11-1 or 10-2 in rpunds, Calzaghe have a Granite chin, and have too much stamina punch put put and way better ring intelligence.
Plain and simple Calzaghe is the way better fighter, you dont have to KO your opponent to prove you are better!!!
I reckon Joe would have won a UD.
But Granite Chin?
Are you kidding me?
He was knocked down in the 1st by old man 43 year old Hopkins and 40 year old RJJ, who should have retired bout 5 years ago.
Sorry dude, His Chin is far far from granite, or any other kind of strong material.
No. Calzaghe has a very decent chin, and he took bombs from Kessler, who in my mind is a way better puncher than Froch.
Calzaghe is too slick and fast for Froch, and has a superior stamina. Jermain Taylor gave Froch a boxing-lesson for 6 rounds before he gassed.
Calzaghe would annihilate Froch, who is completely overrtaed since the Taylor-fight.
