Why does Haye have to earn a shot?

Anyway Haye got the shout because he is very good with trash talk and knows how to sell a fight. but if you see closely how many real contedner have Haye fought? Monte Barrett is a good start but he never face a contender like Ruiz, Ruslan, Sultan, Aerlo...etc he still go alot of work to do. It just unfair for people who have to fight all the way in the HW ladder to get a title shot when another just comes in and trash talks to get one in less then one or two HW fight any proof of this ludicrous statement? the Klit bros are ranked 1 and 2 in the ring hw rankings. and to win a ring title, most of the time the top 2 fighters have to fight for the title but on very rare occassions, the 1 vs 3 fighters could fight for it but that is at the discretion of the ring. so the fact that chagaev-wlad is for the ring title even though ring didn't have to do that, and that the klit bros are ranked as the top 2 hw's, that would be proof that ring is actually in favor of the klits rather than your ridiculous theory of the ring being against them. nobody has anything against eastern europeans.

I was cool wit him gettin a shot after unifyin CW. Haye was the only HW fight that could get cats excited. But now the injury shit fukked it all up. Wlad ain't waitin, and Haye gotta put in some work to get back to Wlad. And since Wlad's gotta face Povetkin or be stripped by the IBF, I won't be surprised to see Haye fight VK instead. I sure hope its Wladimir.

What has that got to do with anything? Fact is, Haye unified the division that was below Heavyweight division - Vacated and moved up and got a title shot straight away. It happens all the time it the lower weight classes, so i don't see why the bridge between Cruiserweight and Heavyweight is any different? The weight difference shouldn't even come into it. It's irellivent. I had NO problem with Wlad choosing Haye as an optional defense and the weight isn't really an issue. The issue is that Haye has already made Wlad wait 2 months longer then Wlad wanted and now Haye is asking Wlad to wait at a minimum another 2 months, which is unacceptable IMHO. Wlad is healthy but he's getting older and hasn't accomplished all of his goals yet and time isn't on his side anymore at 33, his prime is nearing it's end. Hopefully Haye gets healthy and is able to beat a couple of credible HW's while Wlad takes care of Chagaev and Povetkin. If Haye does that I have NO DOUBT that Wlad will fight Haye sometime next year.

Much as I loathe haye and his arrogance, I agree with op. In past many boxers really did not have to do much to earn a shot at a weight class different from one they were competing in successfully. I am all for haye fighting Wladimir and getting his (haye's) ass handed to him (haye).

Manny/Hatton/Floyd/Marquez can all jump up in weight and get the best fights without working up to a shot so why should Haye? Klit is ducking Haye, simple as that. Why? BEcause everyone else should. Who is he? Sure aint a HW established! Fight for your claim. Not Talk the talk got him a chance against Wlad but if he fought couple of HW legiet contender like 3 or 4 he would have a better contract and pubilicty but he want straight to Wlad thinking he is another Enzo.

Nobody is ducking anyone, Haye is genuinely injured and can't fight on the contracted date. Wlad has the option to fight for the ring belt which is worth more than the Haye money.

After winning two or more belts belts are nothing but a title and to show you are strong. Because if I was a HW and the I want to fight the best HW even those with WBC, IBF...etc belts I would wanna choose the best guy to beat up so I could take his place. Right now Wlad and Vitali are the top 2. Also beating Pac is something very good you get extra publicity and go from a boxing star to mainstream media star. Pac is the man to beat if you are a fight around 140s not denying that but what have pac do with HW ranking system and if Haye deserve it or not?
