super welter or light middle?
wheres the poll
btw, I call it lmw because its closer in weight to the middleweight division so by logic thats what I call it.
This is going to sound stupid at first and, probably, is a bit silly- but I think the terms are interchangable based on the current state of the division. It's all in the evocative language.
Super Welterweight Division makes me think of warriors from 147, having moved up, putting on muscle and running one division higher to hang with the truly large, big framed welterweights who have jumped up to 154 to bang it out. I think this imagery, for me, comes from the emphasize on something beyond- super- welterweight.
Junior Middleweight, on the other hand, makes the division sound like a training ground for the middleweight greats of tomorrow. Where slightly smaller sized middleweights perfect their craft, begin their career, most knowing the waters lead to 160 eventually.
I know those are both grossly inaccurate but its what the use of each term suggests to my subconscious, despite neither division necessarily following that real-world criteria.
super welter or light middle?
It's called both, dependin on what sanctioning body has a belt involved. It don't really matter I guess. I usually just call it JMW.

Ive talked to Bhop a lot when i was at normady gym. Bhop loves working out in Miami. I saw urango the other day. A lot of Good fighters come out of and train here in south florida.
Are you training or Thinking about it?
ive thought about training before but im nowhere near my fight weight - i was in great shape in high school but have gotten lazy as shit. im pretty short (5'6) so i guess it would be ideal to be around jr ww or ww. im far from that right now lol
ive been dying to spar though, i want to see what im made of. a trainer complimented my punching technique at the gym in north miami beach. i forgot his name but hes a pro fighter, black dude- i think his name was Brad or something.
Did you get a chance to meet Mr Dundee?
The South beach location is an upstairs gym. I was at the Normandy Gym. Thats nice two. Normandy has a Inside and outside gym.
