Who the **** is still HIRING Gary Shaw as their promoter!!!!

WHY????? lol seriously, cant we just get rid of this guy? WHy do young stars like Alfredo Angulo have to sign with this fat piece of shit. I hate this guy with such a strong passion, please tell me i am not the only one? It kinda of annoys me that he shows up ringside in track suits.

I was wonderin the same thing when I saw Shaw yesterday.

Gary has a lot of fine talent under his promotional umbrella. You would think his fighters would be in the perfect position, but they are not. No other promoters like to work with him. None of his fighters have become stars. The reason is he cannot get them the fights they need once they reach another level. Arum can be difficult, but at the end of the day he is willing to work out deals fair and square. Arum and Golden Boy have made some sweet deals lately, and as a result it has enabled some fighters to become huge stars. Gary is good with getting a fighter a good shot at getting on TV, but I bet a lot of them once they reach a certain stage, they want to leave him as he seems to hold them back from getting big fights. Myself, I still wonder on why some fighters sign with Don King. Now he is bad x 100. He's already hindering Andre Dirrell's career.

All promoters are bastards you're most likely right, it's just that Shaw shows it. You don't see none of the other promoters like Dan Goosen or Bob Arum publicly making an ass of themselves. He also doesn't really build fighters right, Lacy and Angulo for example. He doesn't really give boxers the right advice (Chad Dawson). Yeah he's powerful but he doesn't have power over the ABC sanctioning bodes. Shaw needs to do a better job sticking up to his fighters because he is obviously two-face. As much as I can't stand Arum, Gary Shaw is a poor man's version of the Knob bobber. This guy lost all credibility with that smug comment that he made at the end of the Darchinyan-Arce fight in regards to having Vic fight Nonito. Another thing too, we wouldn't be getting a Glen Johnson-Chad Dawson rematch if the matchmakers at HBO didn't lay the hammer down with him and Chad. They were wanting to weasle out of the fight but HBO told them to f#ck off with their bullshit. They eliminated all of Chad's other options and rightfully so.

I am a fan of Angulo, Rafa Marquez, and I like what I see from Tony DeMarco. But other than that I don't really care for any of the rest of the fighters in his stable. I don't have any use for Chad Dawson, Vic Darchinyan, and Vernon Forrest. I go out of my way to root for those guys to lose.

What do you mean? Fighters would dream to sign with Shaw, one thing he will do is get you on television, the only bad thing for the fighter is he will put you in tough fights, great for the fans though. He is a great fan's promoter in that he cares about the competitive match, not trying to put you in noncompetitive fights. Gary Shaw controls TV and as a result, controls boxing. There is no way in hell you can get on TV without working something out with Shaw. He has almost all of the Showtime dates, a great deal of the HBO dates and even is listed in the credits of the Contender. As a result, however, he can dictate the terms of any contract he sees fit and if you don't want to play by his rules, then you won't be allowed to fight his fighters. The stories I've heard regarding the terms of some of his contracts have been otherworldly. He has the power and he definitely knows it.

Everytime I see Shaw's Porky face I want to piss on him. He is disgusting and makes me glad I'm not a greasy slob...I also can't stand Arum's wrinkled lying face, he looks like a crook.

I hate all promoters, as a general rule. But why do you hate Shaw so much, particularly? I would think Don King or Bob Arum would be more deserving..
