I don’t know why Mayweather keep on insisting that Pacquiao has been knockout before. Those knockouts were a long time ago. He was a young and unpolished fighter who started fighting early because his family needed the money unlike MAYWEATHER who has been trained by his father in an early age.
If given the opportunity to be trained by a trainer in an early age, I think he would be greater than Mayweather. Those loses he suffered wouldn’t happen. Philippines doesn’t have a great boxing program unlike in U.S.A.
LET ME SAY THAT MAYWEATHER IS VERY FORTUNATE!
The only one that should really matter in the slightest is the Morales fight, but Pac has evolved hugely from that fight. He isn't the same fighter, the KO losses when he wasn't an adult and weight drained.
im talking about the first two losses, not the loss to morales
too much emphasis is placed on how many losses a fighter has. you have to look at the circumstances surrounding the loss before you cast a judgement
i agree with what your saying to an extent. but if you have been beaten 3 times then you still have to remember that even if hes doing well now. many of the great champions have 5 or 6 losses. you can never justify 2 or 3 losses as just a blemish. espescially when there are undefeated fighters out there.
you have to look at the circumstances, manny was a young scrappy brawler fighting as a flyweight when he sustained these kncokout losses, but luckily he was young enough to bounce back with no real damage to his punch resistance and now hes filled out into a 30 year old man weighing 140 with a more polished style and some real skill to complement his speed + power
also i believe one of those knockout losses was when manny failed to make weight, he had a tough time getting down to 112 (he is like 5''6 1/2) and that probably affected his legs, chin, stamina etc
the losses mean virtually nothing, just a little blemish on his record is all
i dont agree with that! 3 defeats is just a blemish?! really it should be 4 defeats, because theres no way in my opinion he beat marquez in 08.

mayweather hasnt lost.... so he can hold everybody else's losses against them is all.

yes it matters. a loss is a loss and hes got 3 of em!

Pacquiao is bigger and a much more highly skilled fighter. when he was young he was bit of a brawler. thankfully he still has that power but finesse as well

Besides the loss to Eric Morales, the losses don't count... but people do think Marquez beat him.
Mayweather was never rich, he never had anything easy... saying that is ignorant, his dad trained him from an early age and he had Boxing rammed down his throat all his life... he trained hard and worked his balls off to get where he is today... he wasn't fortunate by any means.
Saying this "if given the opportunity" means nothing... that's like saying if Judah had discipline he could have been an ATG, you get what I am trying to say?
Well, if we went with that rational then the Marciano-Vitali topic should have had all the votes for Marciano. :dunno:
Because thats not true. Pacquiao isn't a 16 year old anymore. He is a 30 year old man. Which means he has done growing physically, so his chin is more than likely stronger, he is smarter, and can endure more because its not a fight between a teen in puberty vs an adult.
The point Mayweather is making is that if he's been knocked out before he can be knocked out again. Mayweather has never been knocked out so therefore he is unable to be knocked out until it happens.
It doesn't matter who Floyd would or wouldn't lose to. The fact is, Mayweather is boasting about Pacquiao's losses. Even though, Pacquiao was only a teenager fighting grown ass men.
16 year old <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Adult
The KO losses of Pac don't really matter. Why? Would Floyd study those tapes in case they fight?? LOL.
Here's hoping Floyd studies those instead of the JMM fights.:boxing:
Not really sure how losses 7 or so weight divisions and 12 + years ago matter for anything. Maybe to a guy trying to argue for a bigger share of the purse, or to a fanboy, no one else.
I dont know why these threads/questions keep coming up. Look at the ATG top 10's, and look at the loss columns for each fighter. It can't get much clearer. Wins> Loses.
No. I dunno why the fukk Mr boat buyer's cocksuckers are always tryin minimize the very guy Mr boat buyer came back for. Makes no sense seein as how they always cry about how Mr boat buyer don't get cred for his wins. :poke:
At this point no they don't. Mayweather is just trying to diminish Pac's shine. Mayweather would probably learn more about Pac watching his win over Marquez than watching his loss to Morales.
