could ever become champ like in the UFShe? Because I don't. That's an embarrassment to their sport that Lesnar can go over their and dominate the top trialhorse and the former current champ/Hall of Famer with less than 5 fights.
I don't care what type of amateur boxing experience a WWE wrestler has, he would get spanked if he tried something like that; especially with that amount of fights.
Not master it but at least getting rid of the major flaws traditional wrestlers have when transitioning to MMA (fear of striking and being on the bottom, letting limbs stray, etc.) as well as his cardio. He's also constantly working on defense.
I would not advise an amatuer boxer after 2 years to fight even a gatekeeper in boxing.
in mma u can become HW champ after 2 years of studying mma.
so you are saying lesnar mastered mma in a year and a half???
that's pathetic.

Brock Lesnar is a freak athlete. I wouldn't discredit MMA so quickly, there are many skilled fighters such as Silva,Fedor,Machida,GSP who are quite a treat to watch.

Tyson and Holyfield have participated in WWE matches so I will have to say yes.
and before you say "but...but they were boxers before they were in WWE". yeah well Lesnar was an NCAA National wrestling champion before he joined the WWE so its the same thing.
Even though wrestling isn't a real combat situation, it is very demanding and some of those people are in tremendous physical condition and very strong and explosive. Most of them probably wouldn't do that well in the UFC, but Lesnar is a beast as well as having a real wrestling backround, so it's really not that surprising he's done well if you think about it.
I find it funny that boxing fanbois can only attack his choice in how he was going to feed himself before MMA instead of his athletics. They also don't do research so of course they wouldn't know that Lesnar was training with Erik Paulsen and Minn. Martial Arts for a year and a half before he saw action again.
WWE is fake and the fact that a WWE wrestler could win the HW championship in UFC is a joke.

a WWE wrestler SHOULD NOT be able to cross over into boxing, but the HW division sucks so bad that one of them could possibly grab a belt.
I don't see any WWE wrestler beating Wlad tho

So if an olympic gold medalist heavyweight boxer took 3 years off to earn mega bucks in WWE and then returned to boxing he couldn't win a world championship belt?
Sure he could, especially at Heavyweight.
Lesnar was much less of a WWE diva than he was a legit, elite amateur wrestler.
People who dont know anything about it like to blow it out of proportion, but its basically the equal to a Cuban fighter with ridiculous physical advantages beating an over the hill, smaller elite pro early in his career.
You guys have to understand the two sports work very differently. A guy who trained and competed at the top level in wrestling for 20 years is going to have an excellent shot in MMA, and when he is a freak like Lesnar and spends two years filling in the gaps, its not that hard to imagine how it happened.
So this isn't a fair comparison?
If Teo Stevenson, Felix Savon, and/or anybody else with more than the equivalent of the amateur credentials of Lesnar turned pro after a more than a 5 year layoff to wrestle in the WWE could they become heavyweight champion of the world in less than 2 years time training and fighting pro?
Until you can answer that question and provide a fair analysis to the question you aren't doing anything to prove your point. The poll says you're the one way off base.
It's still not a fair comparison. Amateur boxing doesnt translate the same way to pro as amateur wrestling does to mma.
If an extensive amateur boxing background involved a decent amount of domination in 12rd fights then you're onto something.
you're comparing an amateur boxing background of 4rd fights with headgear which doesnt really mean shit in a world where the elite level competes in 12rd fights....to an amateur wrestling background where there are 9min matches...and wrestlers could have 5-6 matches in a tournament within a 4hr timespan. so the conditioning is already there for a 20min mma title fight.
cmon people dont you remember when rocky took on thunderlips? of course a wrestler couldn't win. i also find it funny how instead of just asking the question you have to bury mma while doing. brocks a genetic freak of nature with unbelievable athleticism. he was a amazing wrestler(i mean real wrestler) and hes just a huge piece of mass so of course he will do well in mma. im not a huge mma fan but and please someone correct me if im wrong but i think brocks prolly one of the best wrestlers they have in the ufc. either way boxings still winning so quit doggin mma. if you don't like it don't watch it.

What do you want to hear? WWE wrestler cant become a boxing champ? Think I already stated that. They wont become champion in less than 5 fights. Simple as that. Boxing is too damn hard for that.
Doesn't mean a Wrestler wont become champion in a sport that revolves around wrestling.
