Most people who follow Boxing dont know who Floyd Mayweather is or what weight division hes in .Tyson ,Ali ,Forman, De LA Hoya, Sugar Ray Lenord. All household names.
Most people who don't follow boxing don't know Leonard Foreman and Oscar.
If they dont know him from the Ali fights or winning the championship at 45, or commentating big fights on HBO, then they know him from all those damn grilles he sold.
You actually deserve negative K for this.
nobody knows who the hell manny pacqiauo is, you guys need to get off this board and get a life what a bunch of the loser's. Stop making shit up mayweather is becoming the face of boxing so get over it and enjoy the berto fight this weekend which he just would but could face a terrible knockout by the heavy handed juan urango. Losers!!!!!
Manny is known more than Floyd worldwide. Floyd more so in the United States. difference is, Manny IS a household name in his own country. Floyd is not. Thanks to HBO though, Pacquiao isn't to far behind Floyd in the US.

i think him and manny are well known at this point. Manny with his recent fights, and de la hoya having had the fight with de la hoya, both him and manny are the premier faces of the sport in my opinion. i would say people know who he is at this point.

Tyson and Ali are the only two household names in boxing history
How is this so? DLH, Leonard, and Foreman have been involved in many things outside of boxing. They have been in commercials to TV shows.

No, Mayweather is not a household name, but his appearances on that craptastic (gag) 'dancing with the stars' and some WWE event have probably helped.
And, I only watched that craptastic failure of a show when I was dating an ex girlfriend. I will NEVER watch it again. Failure from start to finish.
He was FAST becoming a household name after W's over DLH and Hatton and apperances on WWE and Dancin w the stars. The problem is dude walked away right when he was peaking and getting well known. Now he lost all that Momentum. He and Pac are the only 2 Boxers casual fans have heard of!
I don't think he's a household name yet, as much as he would like to believe otherwise. His last PPV success's were a hit through smart collaboration, fighting opponents who had a significantly larger fan base than his own.
I agree. Yet! He could be but i think he needs more High Profile fights.
