Terrell Owens had all the genetic gifts and tools to become the greatest receiver to ever live. But with his primadonna "look at me!!! I'm so underappreciated" swagger he has destroyed team after team from the inside out. Becoming a cancer to the sport and wasting a season and a half being suspended. All the talent in the world and he doesnt have a championship ring for it.
That is exactly what Mayweather jr is to boxing. An undoubtedly gifted fighter that could have been the greatest of all time but never dared to be great. Wasted a year retired while his greatest challenges unaccomplished. Now much like Terrell Owens....he is desperately trying to convince his fans and his organization that he is even worth what he is getting paid.
What a dick wipe you are mate , you make a string of posts about bullshit and cant answer anything , and you dont care what weight they are , your not a boxing fan your a hater thats all you are ,,, your answer nothing because you dont have the intelligence to nor the boxing knowledge , all you make is some more brainless quotes .
Why do they have catch weights fool , forget about the other questions you couldnt answer , answer just that one ?
Why do they have catchweights?
Most often, the fighter with the higher negotiating stance tries to have everything in his favor.
Its not rocket science, its common sense. Something you and most ever other stan lack.
Floyd at this point, has a higher status than Marquez, you know, the lightweight he called up to welterweight.
I make a string of posts in relation to common sense.
Only Floyd stans care about weight issues.
The fighters obviously don't, but since you gargle with Floyds scrotum,
you and others of your ilk have to defend his cherry picking.
Why fight the lightweight champion at welterweight,
when the actual welterweight champion is ready to tangle?
lol at a 53 year old Floyd stan.
Now, answer me this,
why has Floyd refused to fight a credible welter?
Get real :)
I will suck Floyds cock no matter what and make excuses for everything he does.
Thats the translated version.
Who cares about the 147 pound division?
Why call fighters up to that division if nobody cares about it?
I guess its just easier to fight the smaller champions than fight the actual champions in that division.
You're not a boxing fan, you're a Floyd stan.

Great analogy.....Pretty true indeed.
floyd doesnt look good in these recent sky vids.
he talks like he's trying to convince himself.

To me he always sounds like that, if he has to talk like this to get his confidence up so be it different fighters get amped up different ways not everyone is the same.
T.O got drafted i think in the 4th round, He was a bill walsh pick while walsh was still advising our team. He came from a small school also, tennesee chattanooga (sic). That class had isaac bruce, keyshawn johnson, and a whole host of wideouts that went before him.
T.O is DEFINTATELY a success beyond what people thought hed be. Like i said, im a niner fan, i for the most part, cant stand his ass, he tore this team apart, but i also know facts, and statistically, hes in the top 10, what more can you ask for?
Yea I thought he came in the same year as Harrison, which is why I could not out and out call him the best WR of that draft (1 and 1a though).
I have played Fantasy Football since the mid 90's and I remember laughing when somebody drafted TO the year he blew up.
I do not really like TO but the man over achieved through his own hard work he deserves his props for that.
Was Terrel Owens even drafted? I know he wasn't drafted high, so it is very hard to consider him a disapointment when he most likely out preformed (or is close to it) every WR drafted ahead of him.
He did it himself also learning from Rice and applying those lessons to his own training habbits, TO is a success story.
I think they are both very successful though, so to me they are kind of alike, when I first read this thread I was like you but I thought about it and parallels can be drawn between them.

Moss has had some gnarly injuries and a bad break in oakland where the o-line couldnt buy the qb enough time to get moss the ball to save their lives.
TO has never had any serious injuries in his pro career. He's the type of player that could put a decent team in superbowl contention. He's had great qbs everywhere he's gone...but the teams always seem to be better off after he leaves.
First of all, im a 49er fan, i know all about T.O does and doesnt do. Second of all, i LIVE HERE in oakland. Moss is self admitted to not pushing himself and its obvious, when do you see T.O giving up on plays? When do you see T.O half ass his routes? When do you see T.O openly admitting that right now hes not worried about the game but hes "enjoying life" (moss here in oakland).
Moss also makes NO effort to block as a wideout.
2nd of all, you say teams get better when he leaves O-RLY? Where are my 49ers? We havent been to the playoffs since 2002. Yes, were so much better off. Also T.O helped make garcia into a a great QB, it was a team effort.
Hes had great QBs everywhere hes gone. Hes gone to one team that has had a solidified great QB. When he got here he had steve young, but then after that he had to wait for garcia to get to the speed of the US game before he became decent. He went to philly and helped them get to the superbowl, his selfish antics the next season hurt them, but regardless, after that he went to dallas, whos QB is overrated and erratic in my opinion, hes also incredibly inconsistent. Even JAB will come in here and tell you that. Romo is not a Great QB and hasnt led his team to ANYTHING.
Now lets talk about Moss in oakland. First of all, again, you put all the blame on oaklands O-Line, and NONE of the blame on Kerry Collins, who has ALWAYS been an average QB wherever hes gone, hes had maybe 1 or 2 elite seasons, and im not counting the game managing he did with the titans neither, im talking about new york. Moss admits hes not trying all that hard. Moss basically gave up on that team. It was obvious on the field also. You give excuses to moss because of "injury" thats bullshit, he basically gave up on the team, i dont care what hes suffered, he gave up, period. Moss wasted 2 years here, but yet, you give him a pass, thats load of shit, im sorry.
Have the 49ers been to the playoffs since T.O left? NO
Have the eagles been to the superbowl since T.O left? NO
As far as dallas goes, that whole team had the wrong addtitude, as much as id like to blame T.O. T.O did not tear that team apart, that team tore itself apart, dallas had it all, 2 good backs, 3 good wideouts, a good tight end and a halfway decent qb and they still couldnt get in the playoffs.
Lets not forget, the one superbowl randy moss went to, he also lost. T.O and Moss have basically had the same type of career. But yet you blame T.O when it should be the other way around. T.O doesnt give up on routes. T.O blocks. T.O gives his all on the field, and Moss doesnt. But since T.O opens his mouth, thats who you blame. The way you assess that tells me everything i need to know about how you think and how you view things.
Honestly man. I sincerely think you should stick to things pac related.

Do you forget the knee injury he suffered, then somehow recovered to play very well in the Super Bowl when no one was giving him a chance.
No they do not get better Philly was shitty right after he left, the 49 er's were shitty after he left, we will see with Dallas~.
you know im a mayweather fan and i agree, while we disagree on mayweather, this topic makes no sense, and only if you believe what the media says and you dont look at his stats, would you think somehow he underachieved. its randy moss who underachieved, not owens.

Terrel Owens tears it up everywhere he goes, lol Floyd chooses the teams he performs against. So I don't think that's a fair assessment. At all. If I was Owens, I'd slap the dog shit out of the thread starter...lol but that's just me.

hey atleast terrell owens played against the best didnt make up an excuse not to play against them
10% of the population, 90% of the final 4 that's all i have to way wigga.
on a second thought boxing is NOT a team sport. Floyd for president!:boxing:
Cmon guy. Would have been a great argument if Floyd was still a 130lber. Would have been a reasonable argument when Floyd was at 135lbs. But we're talking 5+years of chasing big money fights as opposed to taking historically significant fights.
He might take a fight which presents both ( Pac )
That is true in hindsight but Ali is over and he fought a lot of no account fights on his way to greatness more than Floyd has fought and Floyd is still going so his legacy is still building , the thing is we are not talking just scrutiny , its full of many double standards and hate for one , and for another he is building his legacy and we dont know what it stands for untill its over and ironicly JMM is a better rounded fighter that anybody Ali fought , look at the idiots posting an ol kenny interview saying Floyd got owned lol he beat every fighter he was supposed to be ducking according to Kenny , the future proved who got owned ,,, and he will do that again now ,,,, Pac is first goal thats not hard to see that heir to his p4p #1 is the first target in Floyds return to boxing .

Well said.
Thanks. Some people just dont quite get it though.
Talent and skillwise....Mayweather might arguably be better than Ali.
People hated Ali for claiming he was the greatest, and for saying he could whoop Joe Louis. But the man never publicly contradicted himself, was always eager to take on the biggest challenges to prove his greatness and regardless of how much they hate him....every fight he took.....while people may be unhappy with his winning...his greatnes became unquestionable.
Meanwhile with Mayweather it's the absolute opposite. He constantly contradicts himself and with every fight he takes...even in winning against inferior competition his greatness comes into question more and more.
Muhammad Ali consistently claimed to be the greatest ever. It drove his bar high enough to be impossible to to impress anyone as well. But he took meaningful enough fights that once he achieved. It was really hard to argue against it. At the time many people loathed Ali for his big mouth and brash attitude but his fights spoke for thesmelves and very few could argue against Ali's resume while he was active the way Mayweather sets himself up for scrutiny with his resume.
Well said.
The fighters don't care,
why do you?
I'll tell you why,
because Floyd simply isn't as great as hes claimed to be,
or else he would have already beaten Margarito, Cotto and Mosley and solidified his position in history as well.
Seeing as he says he can beat them pretty easily,
I don't see what the problem is.
However, we know stans like you cling to his balls even when he contradicts himself time and time again.
"Mosley has 5 losses"
Marquez has 4 and a draw.
Can you detail what exactly is the difference between those two?
No, you can't, but I can.
Mosley is a much bigger threat, literally and figuratively.
I love it though. Dude could have made a major impact on his historical standing had he actually beat the above mentioned names, much less face them.
Instead, the longer he goes without fighting anyone relevant in the 147 pound division, you know, the same division in which he was a champion in,
the more he looks like a fraud. I know it, you know it, former Floyd fans know it,
except you stans don't.
If the weight issue was truly dramatic to you,
you wouldn't even watch the sport as many fights have fighters weighing different on fight night.
But you're a hypocrite so you choose when to be righteous in the matter.
Wow. that was brutal.:buttkick:
So you stick to the same dehydrate weight bullshit because you dont understand or even care that a fighters true size is in the fight , your happy to say one fighters that drys out like a prune is a smaller fighter than the one that dont , not only is that so illogical , then to bolster you argument and just disregard the weight they actually fight at , think about that , lol its fuken insane just writing it in a debate about size ,,, your not a reporter mate quoting figures about something your editor threw at you , your supposed to a boxing fan with a knowledge of the sport ,,
HOW CAN ANYBODY DISREGARD THE ACTUAL WEIGHT THEY FIGHT AT WHEN DISCUSSING TRUE SIZE OF A FIGHTER ,,, its madness , that is their true size !

Your talking about wisdom and you dont know difference between weigh-in 135 and fight time 144 , thats JMM ,,,, what did Casa and Diaz weigh on the night ? here is some wisdom for you , I will bet every point you ever get in here that they both fighters stepped into the ring over 140 pounds probably close to 147 and remember they both got stopped by JMM , cant deny the facts no matter how much ignorance you wrap it in .
Im not interested in you dehydrated weight when we are talking how big a fighter is , Im interested in the weight they fight at , not the day before .
Heres some wisdom for you,
Floyd is the ex champion at 147,
and doesn't want to face the champion of today at that same weight.
So he goes after the 135 pound champion.
Nobody cared about the weights of the fighters until Floyd stans such as yourself made it an issue.
You, just like Mayweather are a clown and make nothing but excuses.
