From my hometown all the champs are old school. Joe Brown and Willie Pastrano and I think one more guy. John Duplesis fought for a title v JCC and was the first guy I ever went to see boxing. Ronald Weaver is from New orleans and there's some white dud from the country around there that's a fringe contender/good club fighter but I can't remember his name. New Orleans has some of the richest fight history in the game as far as events go though. My new hometown Ft. Liquordale has a whole bunch that train around here and a long history but I don't know exactly.
