should they even let this happen in boxing? such a bigger fighter fighting such a smaller fighter? i mean its a total mismatch. Mayweather should be thrown rocks at for this and get no credit. look at the pictures, jmm is tiny compared to Floyd. he is going to end up in a state of vegetable if they let this fight happen.
i have never seen as big of a mismatch as this one:

mayweather is only in boxing for money..
Good knowledge, I totally didn't know that. I just thought they liked getting their brain moved around constantly for nothing.
which featherweights r u refferin to bro. last time i checked marquez was the light weight champ and was movin up to 140 regardless of fightin floyd or not. are you sayin its impossible for the 135 kingpin to move to 147 and beat the best there?? i think roberto duran would disagree
Nice one! I wanted to reply to that guys post but didnt want to bother reading the bad grammar again!
Not really. Unless said Middleweight had found a home there after going from at least jr welter or welter. I think a better comparison would be Floyd vs vernon Forrest at jr middlebut Forrest has a little more size on Floyd than Floyd has on Marquez.
Floyd vs Vernon Forrest is one of the few matchups to where floyd would have a mountain of issues to overcome. The way vernon was before the injury took over his shoulder, his stance, positioning and the way he could pump the jab would take ALOT for floyd the overcome. If vernon would have held on for a couple of more years, that fight could have happened.
shut yo ass up you bitch nigguh! get off dem mayweather nutz! floyd will never get no respect until he fight a fair fight against a real welterweight and stop fightin dem featherwights. until den he a ho3!

if i remember correctly floyd's excuse is that he had to hatton with pillows.
no way, jmm/pbf is a bigger mismatch than pac/hatton.
- hatton was at his best weight class
- jmm is jumping 2 division
- jmm's best weight class is 130-126
- floyd has advantages in every category
Floyds best weight class was 130-135
I know. Thats why a said Forrest would have a bigger size edge. The point I was trying to make is you can't compare it to Floyd fighting a middeweight like some are trying to do. In order for that to work the middleweight would have had to have fought at jr welter/welter at some point. So I picked Forrest cause off the op of my head he came up first and he did fight at 140 at one point. Not a great exaple either but better than the middleweight thing.
Chill out old man. Floyd fought an old, past it DLH at that weight, why not an old, past it Forrest? It would certainly be more competitive than this mismatch (an old, past it Marquez, 3 weight classes above where he was fighting last year.)
JMM is a beast and you clowns crying over a inch? JMM is pound for pound #2! It's a fair fight! You think weight really makes that big a difference in this match up? Stupid fools you is if you think that.
No matter what PBF do you fools gone have something stupid to say.
Do you think Cotto/Marquez would be a fair fight? They are the same height after all.
Ok that's the second poster I just read that just took this guy seriously.
You know he is being completely sarcastic right people? I actually found it funny, because the size difference isn't what people blow it up to be..
last time I checked divisions in boxing were determined by weight, not height. This fight is a mockery for floyd plain & simple. He's only going to get more & more heat from the press/public & well deserved at that.
Side note guys this would be the equivalent of Floyd moving up to fight a dominate middleweight. Yep that's fair alright.

The only way you can gauge this is by witnessing performances and results.
And Marquez will be more competitive with Mayweather than Hatton was with Pacquiao. Sorry.
skill wise it's not a mismatch

Not thinking or talking about Mayweather-Hatton at all. But since you brought it up...
On The Mismatch Scale, I would say May-Hat and Pac-Hat register around the same as a "Huge Mismatch". The difference in those fights is Mayweather chose to carry and torture Hatton instead of taking him out quick. Both fighters clearly dominated Hatton.
if i remember correctly floyd's excuse is that he had to hatton with pillows.
Anyway. I'm basically saying Pac-Hat IS more of a mismatch than May-Marq. I knew that BEFORE May 2nd...and now, there's pretty much no chance in Hell that I can be proved wrong.

what are you trying to say? pbf/hatton was a closer fight than pac/hatton?

Come fight night. As far as size and builds...Mayweather will have a handful of pounds and maybe an inch in height on Marquez. Don't try to make it more than it is...
Their difference in REACH, however, will be very noticeable and is a strong advantage point for Mayweather in this particular matchup.
Bottom line with ALL things considered. Yes. This is a mismatch. But make no mistake about it. Mayweather-Marquez will prove to be nowhere near the true mismatch Pacquiao-Hatton was...

Your gay. Have you heard of a heavyweight named Rocky Marciano? Size doesn't always matter. Sometimes skills can pay the bills.
What is your thoughts on Pacquiao vs Cotto? Biased as fuck huh?
