This was one of the most anticipated fights since Hagler-Leonard but it failed to live up to the hype. Either way it was a very controversial decision. I thought it was a draw, I can't remember the rounds exactly but it went something like De La Hoya dominating the early round, Tito winning a few in the middle the all of the last 3 rounds because De La Hoya RAN from him. At the end I had it 6-6 even. Who do you think won?
Glad to see I'm not the only one score it a draw. Until I posted it here everyone that I told I saw it as a draw was really surprised, they all had it one way or the other.
I remember being shocked at the decision, especially since my buddies and I were pissed off that Tito was losing the fight, for sure. I felt guilty cheering for Tito after because I thought he got away with one.
However, I didn't feel guilty taking my winnings from some poor De La Hoya fan. Oscar won that day and everybody at the bar agreed.
I love Manny Pacquiao. I've probably followed him longer than anyone on this board except some Filipino fans. I first saw him on the Tyson-Lewis undercard and supported him ever since. I picked him to beat Barrera in 2003 as well.
I'll always be a huge Pacquiao fan
What fight was that?
I first saw pac fighting that African dude but cant remember what the main event was..

I imagine you thought Floyd won against Jose Louis Castillo also didn't you money may fan. and you call us dumb
Castillo floyd fight was close...Oscar clearly beat tito
its a big difference...
Fight has an Oscar delahoya win written over it. It was a bad decision on his part to run away at the latter rounds. Still got to give it to the Golden boy though.
STFU Diego Flamer.
Tito Won rounds 2 and 5 and the last 4.
DLH didnt do shit in that fight besides looking pretty throwing flurries to the air, because he didnt landed shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh he didn't land shit when he was snapping Tito's head back?
look, I love Trinidad about 100x more than I love Oscar. In fact, I hate De La Hoya with a passion, but there's no way in hell you can objectively look at that fight and claim Trinidad won 5 rounds. It was that big of an outclassing. 4 rounds maybe, but not 5.
