Fight Marquez, fight Pacquiao, fight Cotto, fight Mosley, win them all. Then there will be no more talk. May has proven himself time and time again, so what's the problem? Take those fights and win them, you're the man.
The thing is those guys would beat him that's why he doesn't want to do that.
Nobody knows that. I think Floyd just wants to work less for more. After JLC 1, he picks the easy fights for the most buck. He's a cop-out but he ain't no bum in the ring either.

It's so frustrating to watch his career. This guy has all the talent, skill, character, and attitude to be the best ever. Watch his fights before JLC 1, uneffingbelievable. The combination of smarts, speed, power, timing, effective pressure and accuracy is incredible. I thought he would just tear through people after the Corrales fight.
But boxing is a business and Floyd is the smartest man in boxing. I think he'll regret this one day when he won't be regarded as one of the greatest. At the end of the day, the only thing you really have left is your reputation.

Thing is in hes mind he already thinks hes the greatest, so the chances of all these fights happening isn't very likely...
no i played resident evil 5 and i continue to waste my day off by sitting next to a computer.
TV wasnt as prevelant but robinson knew he was the number 1 guy and basically the guy to beat, the demand for tv was lower, but you had radio and you had stadiums packing 100,000 people, there were millions listening to the radio back then, there was a demand, the difference was that when you were number at welterweight, you were number 1 that was it. fighters had alot less control over their purses and most would end up getting ripped off by promoters, thats the difference now, contract negotiations can take forever because fighters try to earn what they are worth and rightfully so.
robinson was arrogant and hated as much as ali was in his prime, with 10x the racial issues.
is RE5 better than RE4?
anyway, i really dont understand the dynamics of what was the boxing business back then there in the states...
but its the 21st century already mi amigo... i bet if we are still in robinson's time floyd would have fought margarito 3 or 4 times already... or hopkins and roy jones or toney would have...
so have u slept?
naaah... TV wasnt as prevalent before as it is now so demand was lower... a lack of footage from his welterweight years attests to it...

Boxing was so not a buisness to ray robinson that he would threaten to not show up the DAY of the fight if he wasnt paid, and had a tendency to change the pricing of his purse the day of the fight, boxing was just as much a buisness then as it is now, the difference is that the fighters have more control over themselves than they did in the past.

nobody is matching robinson's activity bcoz of the fact that boxing is a business... more so today than it was in the past... cherry picking was less prevalent than it is now... rematches dont happen that often also...

even if he beat marquez pacman mosley and cotto... that wouldnt put him above srr
and what about rjj,
remember reed, were gonna cook that boy come july 18th.
I should've responded to my own thread earlier. I don't know that I believe those 4 fights make him #1 all time, but he certainly has the skill if he has the motivation.
I meant no disrespect to SRR here. I hated when Floyd made that comment.
lol nono. He can't match SRR's activity, no one can. Which means he would have needed to beat mulltiple great fighters in their prime (with rematches if required) in stunning fashion to have any kind of shot. I would think SRL knocking out Pryor at 140 and Hagler at 160 and even with that its hard to say.
There are no great WW in their prime right now. The p4p fighters he'll be facing are out of their designated division. If Pac's a small jr WW and Marquez should be nowhere near above that.

from 130 to 147 are just 3 weight divisions apart.. (i knw u are exaggerating)
but traveling 5 weight divisions was just what roberto duran did when he beat barkley @ age 37... or manny pacquiao against hatton just last week...
thats why they are called ATGs by the boxing community... they take risks...
Mayweather fighting Oscar at 154 was risk, mainly because Mayweather came in at about 148 on the night where dlh came in around 160 some people said.
(you can correct me if im wrong)
And secondly, DLH was getting picked to beat mayweather, before the fight its "Oscar's too big", but after mayweather won its "I knew mayweather was gonna win" :ugh:
Thirdly, Anybody with a brain knew mayweather had to clearly win to win, as the judges were gonna screw him, and what do you know, he won clearly, yet some dickcheese judge found a way to give oscar the fight.

130 to 135 to 140 to 147 to one title fight at 154 is 5 weight classes.

Add Williams. Maybe he could be the best fighter in this era.
Same old noob bullshit from NSB aka "No-sense Boxing"
"Floyd fights like a chicken"
What the f.uck is he supposed to do? move up 5 weights and let some Plaster fisted Jr Middleweight like Margarito smack him in the head just because some cunt wants to see a 'fight'?
This is boxing, if people wants to see guys off the street, smacking each other in the head and rolling around on the floor for about $50, there is a sport which already caters for such tastes.
