These two don't know shit about boxing either but that's two more for Pac
Pardon the Interruption.
Tony wondered if Floyd still has the desire because money changes people...and I think he mentioned something about if Floyd's skills are the same??? not sure...I'm cooking food at the same time while still typing up.
Michael said Floyd is going down and that Pac is like Tyson.
I bring them up like the others because this is the "casual" fan. And it's great hype for the Fight. Pac's going to the betting favorite so if you want to bet Floyd, you'll win some money if he wins.
Did he?
I didn't think they showed it.
Freddie said Manny was 147 on fight-night against Diaz....was that with shoes and clothes as well?
How about when Freddie said Manny was 152 with 6% bodyfat while training for Oscar....shoes and clothes as well?
So would Floyd be weighing in with shoes and clothes and jewelry as well?
i don't know about the other fights but this fight yeah.
i read it from one of maxboxing writers who was at ringside. he commented about how manny weighed in with shoes and clothes on.
who knows really? they don't take the fight night weigh ins seriously. i wouldn't be surprised if floyd was wearing his chains though. lol
unofficial fight night weigh ins are unreliable.
manny was wearing shoes and clothes when he hopped on the scales saturday night.
Did he?
I didn't think they showed them actually jumping on the scales; must have missed that.

IMO both fighters have an incredible competitive drive that won't be spoiled by money. Floyd talks about bank, but his ego won't allow him to enter the ring any less than 100%.
I hope you're right but fighters do change.
I started to feel that Floyd was just doing enough to win the fight and tried to protect his "O" instead of going out there and take the fight from round 1 and fighting to keep that "O."
If you make Floyd the underdog now and people are doubting him, I think that can actually light a fire under him to perform at his best....whatever that is at this point.
100% of what he is Now, might not be the same as what Floyd was at certain points in his career. That's also something to think about.
I know how Pac will show up because he has been active and consistent with training and his performance. So much so that he looks at his absolute best now which is incredible. He is one of the strongest fighters mentally for sure.
This is getting big hype already and Floyd might end up the underdog because of the "casual fan" that saw Pac kill Hatton in quick/dramatic fashion.
Casual fans don't make fight odds.
Experts do.
Good point. People seem to forget how much of a threat Diego was at the time. He was an undefeated fighter who was knocking people on their ass. Floyd dismantled him.
Also, we can bring up the Castillo fight where people were saying he lost so he went out and got the rematch to prove the doubters wrong.
Pac was 148. I think Floyd may have been 149 when he fought Hatton...no?
So, that makes Floyd the bigger fighter I guess.

Nobody has had this much negativity towards mayweather since corralles. I remember people thought mayweather was being rushed to possibly being ruined. Now the tables have turned, after years of being on top, now he is looked at as the potential underdog, i think in his heart it probably agitates him to know people dont have the perception of him as the best. I think this is the only reason he came back, i dont think cotto, margarito, mosley etc give him that feeling, if they did, i think he would have fought him.
lol @ people saying mayweather is fightnig a smaller guy who comes in at 149 by fight time.

Yes, very true but Pac stays with his people and sees poverty once he leaves his house......no?
I think there is an edge Pac keeps for himself.
He also feels like he is fighting for his people and has to win.
Floyd seems more willing to fight for the bank.
Either way....this is Great for Boxing.
Floyd still needs to defeat JMM and that is his main focus.

Bet your house on Pacman and be homeless like 25000 Brits
Hahahaha.....NO
I'll wait and see where Floyd is at against JMM.
Missed the piont though.

Plus, it can serve Floyd to motivate him to go out there and perform at his best and make a statement.
Hopefully so. He did watch the Hatton fight when Hatton made a negative remark about him, which made Floyd get up off his ass and fight.

Benny we spoke about this in great detail. We both know floyd is reading this knowing that his ass in on the line. This can only help mayweather because you and i both know how he feels when people doubt him. hes insecure in that regard

i think it's great that pac is picking up where odlh has left off. he is bringing alot of attention to the sport, and making alot of people excited. my friends that are casual fan are becoming more hardcore since pac beat odlh. now they are asking me all kinds of questions, nad wanna get in hte normal ppv/fight night group of the fellas so they can get into the sport on a more in depth basis. i' m glad, and it's even better that some of them were or are mma fans. i like the crossover appeal.
This is my shit to Mel. I been on a mission to convert as many cats as I can. I got my homies and bitches lovin boxing round here. Pac is mos def doin gr8 shit for the sport. Havin him as the face really helps boxing. :boxing:
You mention money changing Floyd, but with the money he has already made, Manny can live in ultimate luxury in the Philipines for the rest of his life.
Also if Mayweather blows out JMM, he'll be the betting favorite over Pacquaio.

Sports programs (especially ESPN programs) are talking about the sport more now. Every show today on ESPN touched significantly on the fight. And now they are adding Mayweather's name to it, but more so as an opponent to Pacquiao and not the main guy. That is beautiful. Manny accomplished in 3 fights what Floyd NEVER did his entire career. And thats only Floyd's fault. But these guys are underestimating Mayweather and feel he is getting KO'd as well, im more than skeptical that will happen. You can't underestimate Floyd's skill, but his drawing power is easily overestimated.
These two don't know shit about boxing either but that's two more for Pac
