Mayweather was featured in the original and very first 24/7 series. Is his return from retirement and fight against Juan Manuel Marquez worthy of a 24/7 series?
Absoulutley, Mayweather is the show.
and MArquez should cut the crap and speak english, because he speaks it fine.... much better than pac does
7k on Pacquiao over Hatton
any takers????
post or pm me.

it will get its own 24/7.
I think this fight will definitely be on 24/7. I feel the hype now that the official announcement has been made. It's taking place at 143; wish it would have been at 140 but oh well, 143 is better than full Welter.
But JMM doesn't speak English
he speaks as much as pacquiao. i think itd be interesting but they should start making them 3 part series because they eventually get boring. samo ol clips of them training with dramatic music in the back ground. they know that they have a fight to sell to the mexicans. juan manuel marquez is at the top of the mexican boxing spot light right now. add that to the widely known mayweather and your bound to sell good numbers.
the whole spanish captioning thing makes me think its more suited for a 1hr special countdown....which makes me think when was the last time hbo had a countdown show?
Countdown shows are stupid. I'm glad HBO doesn't do them anymore. It was mostly just for the journalists so that they'd get a chance to be on HBO talking about boxing.
People here are also forgetting 1 simple thing. Juan Manuel Marquez can SPEAK ENGLISH.
of course he can speak english...when hes being interviewed....obviously when hes being taped for 24/7 hes going to be speaking his native tounge...him and nacho...i think its too much captioning to enjoy...i guess it can work as i can definitley see mayweather getting 65% of the camera time anyway.

Of course it is. HBO practically invented 24/7 just to get Mayweather on its airwaves. Thank GOD he's no longer promoted by Bob Arum. If this fight had happened when both were with Top Rank it'd have been tucked away off the radar probably on an independent PPV.

I agree, at this point in his career Juan Manuel Marquez is deserving of telling his story in a 24/7 type series. He's come a long way over a long hard road to finally be recognized one of the very elite P4P fighters in the world.
and thats just one of the many reason's why JMM is one of my favourite fighters..of all time
I'd be interested in JMM's story, his fight for recognition, his training camps and an in depth look at his relationship with Nacho
Combine that with Roger and Floyd, including his thoughts on his comeback/layoff
It deserves one

Mayweather's last two fights have been 24/7 worthy. I talk shit about Floyd, but when it comes to 24/7, no one puts on a better show than the damn Mayweathers. And this is Floyd's comeback fight.
I think the fight is a good candidate for a 24/7 series, especially since Floyd will be fighting the #2 P4P fighter on the planet and all the attention of the given weight disparity between the two fighters.

Marquez arguably beat Pac in the rematch. He could easily be the best p4p fighter right now. Hes been on a crusade in his recent fights. Mayweather was the best p4p fighter until he retired. If 2 top 3 p4p fighters don't deserve a 24/7 then nobody does.
exactly, people tend to miss facts i guess. going with names/money instead of facts and figures. 2 of the top 3 fighters in the sport shouldnt get a show?...amazing.
