Sory for hackjacking this thread
Torres is a SouthPaw!!! Straighten your facts. At 140 Cotto was almost Koed by this 2 southpaws. At 147 Cotto was actually Koed although tainted now by hands of concrete by Marga Cheato.
I can't believe I missed this response but it's you who need some facts straightened. Ricardo Torres is an orthodox fighter.
Check out his boxrec page: http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=86492&cat=boxer and it says he's an orthodox fighter. He fights orthodox as I have seen against Cotto and Holt so I don't know where you are getting at by saying Torres is a southpaw.
I was just curious bro. no disrespect intended. I thought all Puerto Ricans were American Citizens. If im wrong school me on the facts.
we got 2 citizenship.
a puerto rican has the right to not have American citizenship.
Let me tweak the card then. Let's make Philippines vs the world.
Pac-Cotto
Juanma- Concepcion
Viloria- Calderon
Donaire & Montiel for some Mexican Flavor.
Let's Put Chavez jr vs James mcgirt Jr/ Ronald hearns as the opening bout.
id order that card in a heart beat. but id doubt thered be enough money to go around for all the fighters.
yes there is.
and that was disrespectful dude.

Elorde's record when he fought Ortiz. 79-20-2 and 69-18-2 fighting out of his weight class. He was at the tail end of a career that involved some wars. He became a Journeyman like Espinosa became after their haydays
Serrano vs. Villaflor was a good win for Serrano. Just stirring the pot.
In the second fight Elorde was past his prime but before the first, Elorde was on a 8 fight win streak which included a title defense of the unified superfeatherweight titles. After losing to Ortiz the first time, he went on another 8 fight win streak and defended 3 times his unified titles.
In fact I dont think his career was over by the second fight because after losing to Ortiz the second time he lost his unified titles to a japanese in Japan by majority desicion.
look at the idiots here throwing nothing but LOL's at whoever thinks Philippines can pull it off. but cant really back up their LOL's. maybe they feel threaten? hhhhhhhhmmm. interesting.
at least some thinks it's a good card.

Ortiz vs Elorde - Elorde was out of his weight class and look at his record. Morales, DLH, barrera etc woulda been "shot" 3x over,
He UD Villaflor in Puerto Rico after a draw in neutral Hawaii - Surprise surprise
Good names though to have againts the Philippines. The rest were iite.
Elorde's best weight was superfeatherweight, but he fought a lot of times at lightweight, the only reason he probably didnt become a lightweight world champion was because Ortiz had all of the world titles, which at that time only the WBC and WBA existed.
Ben Villaflor was a filipino raised in Hawaii, most people thought Serrano won that draw.
Andy Tabanas did go almost 12 full rounds with Ricardo Lopez so Dieppa's 11th round tko is impressive.
Not much I can say about Tunacao though, other than he went twelve with a two division japanese champion.
