yeah but pro boxing is significantly different. bowe had some serious power and that might have caused problems with lewis. although I sincerely doubt bowe would have won, it still would have been interesting to see what would have happened.
lewis would certainly be ranked a lot higher in the all-time hw rankings had they met and lewis had won in bowe's prime.
Don't argue that it is totally different. On the other hand I would say that IMO Lewis was a slow starter so a longer fight might be even more to his taste.
Not really Lewis fault it didn't happen, it is the problem with alphabet titles I guess
Got a short version of it in the Olympics, guess Bowe thought that Lewis had him beat.

lennox was calm as, his attitude was ice cool i think bowe caught him f uard with the confrontation but LL was like 'im gonna knock you out, i know it and you know it'
Bowe made it crystal clear he was terrified of Lewis.. Shame, cos he's about twenty million bucks out of pocket now & most of his purse money resides with Colonal Sanders..
People tend to forget that this fight was close to being made if not for Oliver McCall and Andrew Golota ruining those plans. Bowe blatantly ducked Lewis the first time though.
Sadly Bowe did avoid Lewis. His prime was basically spent in the trilogy against Holyfield, he wasn't really measured against the other top names of the time.
