Hatton needs to push Pacman around all night and make sure he knows who the boss is. I don't care if he takes hard shots, you know he will, Hatton needs to body up. If he can physically manhandle Pacman, it will be a long night, and most likely a Ricky Hatton victory.
Do you guys think this is the only way Ricky wins this fight? Or does he have options?
I think for periods against Morales in the first fight, he had to fight on the backfoot and we know what happened there.
Pacquiao knocked Morales down going backwards. Third fight, I think it was.

I understand that the point deduction might have triggered a sense of urgency in Ricky…however, even prior to the check-hook-ringpost death blow, Ricky had already began showing the counter left opening….Floyd picked his spots but that check hook was ready…in most cases, Ricky lunges in and catches an elbow/forearm to the throat, thus negating his attack…you wont see too many forearm-shield technique from PAC..instead, a 2-3 punch combo…ricky might be the bigger guy, possibly stronger BUT you just don’t go facefirst at PAC
IMO the main reason Pac has been so effective in his fights, is because his opponents don't go face first at him. He needs the opportunity to be on the front foot to fire off his combinations and hurt his opponents. If you stay off him, he will be on you in a flash, let off his combinations, go back/spin away and repeat. If you stay on him constantly, get in his face and attack him non stop - in the way Hatton knows best - then he won't be comfortable and won't be effective. Going face first at Pac and closing down the ring is the way to negate Pac's style.
I don't think Ricky will be able to take Manny's power.
why are people allways going on about pacmans power asif hatton is a light puncher with a shit chin.HE aint no amir khan.
I convince myself of things, even if I'm not quite sure.
This is a gut feeling pick for me.
I know Pacman has a lot of advantages, including speed, which tends to be very important. But just like Steve Forbes had the dream where he beat De La Hoya, I had a premonition that Hatton will beat Pacquiao by crippling body shot. May sound like a cliche Hatton nuthugger prediction, but it just came to me. Usually when I have premonitions like that, they turn out correct. When I try and use my brain, that's when my predictions tend to back fire.

very true he is untested at that weight, but the thing is he has carried is agility and speed. i would be worried if his main strengths were left at the lower weights but he has coped with the weight well.
hatton has a great chance, im confident but not overly, i just think if pac manages to wether the storm then its his fight. i feel that if he handles hattons power or if he doesn't let hatton put full leverage into his punches then pac will win.
i know it will be close im just winding the avid hatton fans.
and a fine job at that.
no, seriously this should be a good fight. i think i'll know within a couple of rounds whether hatton will win by the number of times he gets tagged.
i appreciate he's a great boxer and you're probably right, hands held up. tell me thought, what is he capable of against a natural 140 fighter?? i fail to recall the last time showed himself "capable" against an natural undefeated 40.

i agree, that and also he boxed with his heart and not his brain that night. PBF said on camera on 24/7 prior to the match that he'd counter RH and that he lunged, so PBF had done his homework. honestly mate, the best thing to come out of the PBF fight was the learning curve and I serioulsy think that with floyd senior he won#t do that.
i think there was a poll made and pac was considered a atg by a wide margin, so who is the ignorant, arrogant bum?
Hatton has a chance im just confident in pac because i know what he is capable off.

you've just validated my point with your ignorance, arrogance and lack of respect. he's not an all time great, he is the p4p numero uno, you are a bum bandite and hatton has beat manny paquiao come 2nd may.
2 difference between my outlook on this fight and yours -
1) i realise it will be a close good fight
2) you think manny is going to win.

we have reason to be confident pac is an all time great and the best fighter in the world. who has hatton beaten?

yes...i named it Dans and shoved it up my King Kong action figure's ass
Fits good doesn't it.
I haven't seen it yet but I hear it's three inches long and only 3 and a half around. But I hear it has gigantic balls attached to it.
Confirm?
Only way he wins is to stay in his chest all night and outwork him, mostly attack the body. Can't skillfully outbox him, can't outpunch him wit power, can't try and counterpunch him.
this is only way hatton knows how to fight bro, so fighting manny will be no exception. from the bell he'll press manny and all fairness manny won't know where the **** to go or what to do. i suggest a virgin flight to manilla. no, seriously, hatton has always been the aggressor. i went out for the PBF fight and it was funny to see that as soon as that bell went RH was the first over the half way line. i know PBF schooled him but manny is not and never will be the boxer PBF is/was, so hatton has this one lined up.
also, the difference between us hatton fans and manny nuthuggers is that we appreciate this is gonna go either way, whereas many MP fans think this is a walk it the park, well if getting punched around the ring for 12 rounds ( if it gets that far) is a walk in the park i'm hanging up my ****ing walking boots

have my money ready dans...ricky's gonna 'bully' himself into another KO loss
Hey did you get the new Pacquiao "Life size, like the real thing" dildo. I heard they're the bomb.
:wank:
have my money ready dans...ricky's gonna 'bully' himself into another KO loss
this is my only worry, and a good point. are you refering to the PBF KO?? I think that him bullying himself into that position has something to do with the point deduction and him underestimating PBF. Can't seem him doing that this time round, hope not anyway.

pac can fight going backwards. look at the first round of the barrera 1, barrera was on the front foot and pac was using movement. against delahoya he was on his toes boxing. you guys are realy underestimating pacs abilities. the question is when hatton gets hit coming in can he change his style? you guys need to look at hattons deficiencies before you comment on pacs.
what will happen when hatton realizes that rushing pac aint going to work because he will get tagged. he will revert to his hugging. however pac will have the advantage by then. pac has loads of tools at his disposal, it cant be said for hatton.
