I think this is the only way to improving his legacy ( not that he needs it) but in reality there isnt any fighter in his weight class that would improve much more than what it is already.
I really dont think beating Chad Dawson would do that much.
But if he went up to heavy and challenge one of the K-Brothers and win he would probably increase his all time standing by 20.

Um are you an idiot? Hopkins does not a frame of a heavyweight, he would lose to almost anyone at heavyweight, and at his age, he would be slow as ****, Hopkins would look like that marshmallow man at 210lbs.
Hopkins weight range has always been 160-175, and because of his size, that's his limit. He would lose to Dawson too.
B-Hop might win fights at cruiser ar HW, but he's only got one or two and I just can't see them being signature fights. He might outpoint Valuev (as might a lot of other people), but would get destroyed by anyone fast enough to land a few.
Dawson is his best fight, IMHO. I would certainly see that as a huge 'legacy' win for whoever did win.
I think its the only fight he has left, or retire.
If he fights Dawson and wins that wont change his standings say 10 years from now.
But he goes out and beats a heavyweight champ, not we're talking top 25 atg.
Plus imagine the buzz in that PPV fight? Boxing would be in the limelight again for a while.
He is 44. The last thing he should be doing is having more bouts, let alone moving up to HW.
Hopkins - RJJ 2, Both retire with Pay Day. Forget this "Legacy" BS.
the only fight for hopkins, would be a fight for "legacy" against another "legendary" type fighter at this stage in his career. unfortunately, when calzaghe retired, he tooks hopkins' future with him. that was the only fight that made any sense.
at age 44, it probably wouldn't be wise for hopkins to be toying around with his weight....

yeah, if hops somehow beat one of the K sisters his legacy would be off the charts, but the K sisters are way too big for hopkins.
hops better just retire.
I think Hopkins is a bit to small for heavyweight! He could maybe do Cruiserweight but that's it. He should fight Dawson and find out who's the best at Light Heavyweight and crown a Ring Champion!
He wouldn't beat the K bros. It seemed like a cool idea when he was gonna fight Oleg, but not now. Adamek at CW mighta been ok tho. At this point if he ain't fightin Dawson Bhop should just go out.
If he went HW it surely wouldnt be against either Klitschko. His style of fighting is tailor made for him to get his head seperated from his shoulders by the Klitschko's.
He is a badass 44 year old, but he is 44 and is only at LHW, Klitschkos have pretty much been KOing any HW they want for the last few years.
um Hop shouldn't fight at heavyweight, and a fight with Dawson has a lot of meaning. The former light heavyweight champion fighting the best light heavyweight in the world. Whats not to like about that?
