What Whitaker won that fight clearly. WTF? jejejejejeje
Yeah, he said that draw was a robbery to Chavez.
He also says that Ramirez 100% deserved the decision in the first fight against Whitaker.
He also would have had Hopkins-Tarver a draw if not for the knockdown...
He's not exactly a beacon of accurate scoring.
Well give your argument on how EM will beat WG at 122. I seriously want to hear it!!!!
I don't have one... if you had been keeping up, I definitely said Gomez is better than Morales.
I'm just saying, his chin wasn't even remotely cracked at 122, so I don't know how you can get up there and say that Gomez easily takes Morales out in 6 or less. It's just way too much confidence on your part, considering there is only evidence of Gomez's power, but no evidence of the possibility of Morales's chin giving out, which is the other half of the formula.
Says the mexican Flawless!!!!!!1
If anyone, that would be Ferocity.
The guy who swears up and down that Whitaker got a gift draw against Chavez. :lol1:
Gomz fought 80% of his career at 122, and fought all he best 122 pounders t the moment. So your comeback logic is stupid.
At 122, he was a moster, like I said, it took a ATG, with good power and great skills to beat him and in ther weight.
At 122, he KTFO EM!!!!!!!
My comeback logic was nothing more than a question of your insistence that Gomez is invincible because no one beat him at 122, which is obviously a terrible way to look at things.
But whatever, it's pretty obvious you have less than 0 interest in actually discussing this, because your mind is 100% made up that Morales gets KTFO. So... I think we've pretty much settled whatever discussion we could get out of this.
WHo beated Gomez at 122 then?. Give me a name please.
You don't need the ed at the end of beat in that sentence. Beat is a word that doesn't ever use the ed for past tense... it just stays as beat. Just an FYI!
But, I mean... he was undefeated. No one beat him.
Cotto was undefeated at 140... does that mean he would never, ever possibly lose at that weight? That kind of logic is flawed.
No one beat Morales at 122 either...
Pintor and Zarate had great chin to and they both got KTFO.
Gomez power was ridiculous. It took another ATG in another weight to beat him.
Morales gets flat on his back against Gomez and fast. Barrera would of last longer than Morales do to styles, but he gets KTFO too by Gomez.
Gomez has no match at 122.!!!!!!!!
I think Pacquaio would have gotten KTFO by Gomez, well there was achance Pacquaio would KTFO of him too.
erik granite chin morales, never dropped in his prime in countless wars(100 amatuer fights+45 pro fights), is gonna get destroyed in less than six........talk about bias.....
Gomez and is not even close.
Erick would of gotten KTFO like 6 rounds. Gomez was a monster at 122. His loses were at 126 and up to Sanchez and Nelson.
Mo Fo had a record 17 straight title defenses won by KO
Morales has one of the best chins I've ever seen... I'm not sure he gets KO'd.
Morales is great, but Gomez at this weight was unreal, undefeated, brutal power, speed and more than all incredible footwork, he is the best in the division's history.
I think Gomez was the greatest 122 pounder of all-time with Erik Morales at #2. I'd say Erik is the more accomplished fighter overall and should be rated higher in the grand scheme of things because of his body of work at 126 and 130.
Skill-wise I think Gomez was more well rounded offensively. The guy had big time power in both hands, he had the good jab, good speed, great balance and he could end a fight at any time. Erik had more skill than he gets credit for because he loved to give his fans a show and elected to brawl instead of boxing in spots. He could have fought behind that jab a lot more than he did, using his length to pick his opponents apart. Neither fighter was great defensively but Erik had the granite chin which helped him immensely.
I can't really say who has more GREAT moments in their career. I'm a younger man so I can accurately remember how amazing the Barrera trilogy was, the Pacquiao fights and his best moments otherwise. Gomez had the high profile fights against Pintor and Zarate, but those are often overshadowed by his losses to Nelson and Sanchez (no shame in those losses).
Gomez on paper is, but there is no way and hell Morales would get blasted out in 8 rounds against Sanchez, it would have been a very competitive fight. Unless of course, Sanchez is even better than i think he is.
I don't know from my own personal knowledge of boxing, but once... I suggested that Erik Morales was the best 122 pounder ever, because he looked almost perfect at that weight... and I got laughed at... hard.
Gomez was undefeated at that weight, and knocked pretty much everyone out. He knocked 53-0 (52 KOs) Carlos Zarate out in his signature defense at that weight. He also beat the only man to ever beat Zarate at bantamweight (his true home) in Lupe Pintor. His only loss was at featherweight, against the, supposively, best featherweight of all time.
Gomez is clearly the man, even though I love Erik Morales.
