Here is a radio interview he did with Leave it In The Ring Radio Show. Lamon's Interview is in the middle of the show.

"David Haye's chances are, as Don King used to say, slim and none and slim is out of town. There is no way he is going to beat Wladimir Klitschko. You think a cruiserweight is about to come into boxing and beat Wladimir Klitschko? C'mon, that is just not going to happen.
That's like taking a dude from a JV team and putting him on the Los Angeles Lakers with Kobe. You could take the best college football team and put them against the worst NFL team and they'd get blown out.
Who has he fought? He fought Monte Barrett, they call him the gatekeeper, but Monte Barrett is not Wladimir Klitschko. He's been climbing hills in California; you about to climb Mount Everest baby!
It's just so stupid to me. The dude has been knocked out by a cruiserweight, how do you think for one second he's about to beat Wladimir Klitschko?"
tunney... why would you red k me
you're suspect, you or wlad owns
because you speak the truth. klitoris fans can't handle the truth.
"wlad lost to Sanders" <--- that is worthy of a red k to klitoris ass-lickers.
Comments are hardly surprising coming from a fellow heavyweight, barrett said the same stuff
I haven't heard any heavyweight say anything good about Haye because number 1, they feel he hasn't proved enough to warrant a title shot, and 2, he is very outspoken. This doesn't mean shit, like someone said before, if you have been in the ring with both fighters then il value that opinion, but Brewster is basing his opinion on the fact that Haye is a cruiserweight coming into the HW division which is always a difficult jump, and he won't be able to make the transition...guess we'l find you in a few months
Lamon Brewster knows exactly what he's talking about! :fing02:
Except the 42 year old Thompson who KOed Haye was a light heavyweight, not a cruiserweight. :lol1:
Except Haye wasn't KOed, he was exhausted from not planning a fight past the 4th round, gassed out and paid the price.
Haye's got this one.
brewster couldn't even knock sprott out. he looked awful to me
It's hard to look good against someone isn't coming in to win. Sprott felt the left hook early that dropped him and from then on was in survival mode. If you noticed, Brewster barely got hit at all in that fight.
We'd love that fight, Brewster would stop him inside of 4. I'm not trying to make this personal because I know he's one of your favorite fighters but Haye is not superman in the beard.

I personally don't think Haye will beat Klitschko. But saying it's because he was a cruiserweight and because of his loss to Thompson is a bit ignorant. Haye's problem is his chin and ordinary heavyweight size, but he has the speed and power needed to suceed at some degree at heavyweight. The loss was due to him gassing after expending a lot of energy, just like Klitschko did agaist purrity.
And Carl Thompson was a full-blown cruiserweight, not a small or light hitting man by any strecth of the imagination. Lamon lost to Shufford and Etienne before he fought Klitschko, so he's showing he has a bit of a short memory here. I still think Haye will be a big underdog though.
Well, he has the best chance out of anyone in the division right now so i'm not complaining. It should be competative and both have the power to KO each other.
I'm just saying, he can't really say that when he hasn't been in the ring with both of them. He's only been in the ring with Wlad and Wlad beat him the 2nd time around so of course he is going to say Wlad is going to destroy him, otherwise he's basically saying Haye is better than himself.
Here's what you gotta remember; Why didn't Wladimir call out Brewster when he was champion? Why did he wait until Brewster lost to Lyakhovich and suffered a detached retina to call him out. Of course Brewster lost, he had spent the previous 6 months on his stomach in bed with a gas bubble in his eye.
That said, you have to be able to absorb a lot of punishment to get inside Klitschko's jab. You also have to get low and make Klitschko reach and give up his height. Those are things I see in Brewster that I don't necessarily see in Haye.
Still, the crazy money they offer to fight a cruiserweight? We'd take that money in a second!

Thompson was a cruiser, always has been apart from maybe 3 fights at the start of his career.
Wlad was KO'd 3 times early in his career they both turned their careers around.
If we put Haye in the ring with Brewster maybe he would change his mind.
We'd love that fight, Brewster would stop him inside of 4. I'm not trying to make this personal because I know he's one of your favorite fighters but Haye is not superman in the beard.
he said a cruiserweight cant beat the heavyweight champ.....someone give him holyfields number
I'm rooting for David Haye here because he's an exciting breath of fresh air but he is not Evander Holyfield. Holyfield came in with an iron chin and an iron will, beating guys like "Quick" Tillis, Pinklon Thomas and Michael Dokes. He was a proven heavyweight contender. We don't know if Haye is yet.
I think Haye has much better chances than that. Brewster doesn't know what he's talking about.
Brewster has been a heavyweight champion and has split two fights with Wladimir Klitschko. How do you figure he doesn't know what he's talking about, because he doesn't agree with you?
