Answer me this simple one Why did Margarito reject 4 million his highest pay day against Williams to fight Mosley for only 2 million. Maybe Margarito is not good at business fair point if thats fact, mayb his trainer/promoter thought it might ruin his career? not actually margarito's decision...he might hav been game?...

Its fear. Do I think its fear of an ass whopping......no. But fear of having a loss on your record. Or fear of losing earning potential........yeah. Frank Warrens business model seems to be based on it. Why don't you go tell Archie Moore that he was never ducked.

i've read a few times on this forum ppl sayin this fighter ducks this fighter etc..this is my opinion.. does anyone actually believe at the top level of pro boxing that its up to the boxer who he fights?? I think these days its all about money, which ever 2 fighters can bring the most money n dats it! after all its a sport/job..they do as their manager/promoter says...wat u reckon? Great point. Just wait for Paul Williams fans to get in here.

No fighters duck other fighters.. but it doesn't always mean they are scared.. I want to punch my sister's husband in the mouth.. And he knows it.. and is always calling me out.. I know I would ring his skinny little neck without breaking a sweat.. But it would not be worth the trouble.. A lot of fighters cry too much about money tho. Im willing to fight anyone if the right amount of money is offered. Turning down fights unless you make 50 million is basically saying dont even start negotiations Im a spoiled bitch who would rather beat up nobodies for slightly less money than actually be tested.

One of the realest threads I seen in a while. To take it a little further the networks are the promoters these days (Hbo, Showtime, ESPN, Versus). If the network don't want the fight your only option is bullshit ppvs like Cotto-Jennings.

Boxing is a business and yea, $ decides a lotta fights bein made. Promoters make the last call a lotta times. It's wrong to call any pro fighter a coward, but there are some guys who don't want it wit certain other fighters.
