I don't see what they are thinking. Nobody in the United States knows either fighter....they should just fight in Colombia. In America this fight is barely a BAD fight in terms of popularity....while I don't think Valero is a bad fighter or the other guy. If it is over $20 I don't think I will watch... and I think it will get very bad numbers. I just thought HBO was smarter than that I mean Marquez Diaz, Mosley Margarito were free fights. Peace.
Now that makes sense. That's why it says PPV instead of HBO PPV. GBPPV always sucks.
Actually, Marquez-Casamayor was decent. The undercard had Forrest-Mora II, which was a decent fight, and one that settled things. Decent card, overall.
It's because there were a lot of top lightweights in the card for that event. Unfortunately, Barrios and Casamayor were injured so this lessens the value of the event. I wonder how good Valero really is.
Its not an HBO fight. HBO just helps promote them because of GBP. Its a Golden Boy Promotions PPV.

Well, it was originally a pretty stacked PPV that was to include Joel Casamayor, Julio Diaz, Valero, Jorge Barrios and Michael Katsidis. All in matches against each other or solid opponents. It was a Lightweight tourney, so it was worthy of the PPV thing, to an extent. Nonetheless, Casa and Barrios both had to pull out, which sucked.
However, solid replacements have been made, but the card has lost some luster. Still, as the first bracket gets out of the way, it should impress more.
